  • Patent number: 10040132
Abstract: The rotary tool comprises a support and a cutting head which can be inserted into a pin receptacle of the support via a coupling pin. The support and the cutting head have mutually corresponding surface sections for transferring a radial clamping force and have mutually corresponding torque sections for transferring torque. For an axial pull-out stop device, effective stop surfaces are formed on the pin receptacle and on the coupling pin in the axial direction, wherein, to do this, a stop element is formed, the radial extension of which is smaller than or equal to a radial extension (r2) of the surface sections of the coupling pin and wherein the stop surfaces and the surface section are offset relative to each other in the circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 7090447
Abstract: A twist drill or drill/chamfer tool that comprises a drill with a shaft section. The shaft section is provided with a twisted flute and a clamping ring as the retainer of a facing cutter. The clamping ring tubularly encloses the shaft section or the drill shaft and can be fixed on the shaft section or drill shaft in different axial adjustable positions. The clamping ring can be tensioned on the drill with tension screws that extend through the clamping ring substantially radially to the axis of the drill. The tension screws impinge the surfaces of the twisted flutes, which twisted flutes are enclosed by the clamping ring indirectly with a clamping shoe that is interposed in a twisted flute.

  • Publication number: 20040028492
Abstract: The invention relates to a chip removing tool comprising a tool shank which acts as a support for a perforated plate. The perforated plate is tensed by means of a screw connection passing through the orifice of the perforated plate and a through hole of the tool shank, containing a screw which is introduced from the side of the perforated plate, and a corresponding nut positioned beneath the tool shank inside the seat of the tool shank. The tensed perforated plate is adjusted in an effective manner in a direction of adjustment which is substantially radial in relation to the axis of rotation of the tool shank, whereby the contact surfaces between a) the screw head and the perforated plate and b) the head of the corresponding nut and the tool shank enable a pivotable movement of the screw connection following on from the adjustment movement, said screw connection consisting of a screw and a corresponding nut, as a result of crowning.

  • Patent number: 6374712
Abstract: A side milling cutter with cutting inserts, by which side milling cutter a crank pin can be cut with a single feed motion. The plate-shaped cutting inserts are arranged on the periphery of the side milling cutter alternating between the left and right side in a peripheral direction, and are oriented essentially radially with their cover surfaces in relation to the cutter axis, which cover surfaces contain the tool faces. The cutting inserts are also arranged so as to form a gap on the periphery of the cutter which is so narrow that the length of the arc of action between the point of entry and the point of exit of cutting is greater than the half of the gap of the arrangement of cutting inserts on the periphery of the cutter. The present invention also relates to the configuration of the cutting inserts as indexable inserts which can be used on the left and on the right.

  • Patent number: 6231276
Abstract: In addition to having a stop member in the form of a hollow cylinder which is slotted and can be spread by means of an adjustment screw, an adjustable stop for a cutter adjustably arranged in a main casting or body of a tool is also provided with a sleeve member which can be inserted into a longitudinal bore of the stop member. The sleeve member has inside threads which can be brought into engagement with the adjustment screw. This results in an improvement of the load carrying capacity of the threaded connection. Since the sleeve member can move in the adjustment direction, the bending load on the adjustment screw is reduced.

  • Patent number: 5904455
Abstract: A drill with a drill point part that contains the drill cutter and is made of a solid hard material. The drill point part is replacably attached to the end face of a drill shaft. The drill shaft is penetrated by a shaft groove which extends in an axial direction of the shaft to accomodate the drill point part and can center the drill point part in the groove region. The drill shaft has grooves on its periphery which run in the axial direction and extend into the region of the shaft groove and continue into the region of the drill point part. The drill point part can be clamped on its side faces corresponding to and opposite the groove flanks in a force-locking manner by an insertion-clamping fit in the shaft groove.

  • Patent number: 5894743
Abstract: A process and machine for the preparation of pile ware uses a single needle bedded warp knitting machine, having pile sinkers. During the swing-through of the guides subsequent to the underlap into the overlap position, first the ground threads and then the left pile threads, are laid to the rear of the needles, and run along these, with separation from each other. The pile sinkers are introduced into the space between the ground threads and the left pile threads, during or after the swing-through, and stay there until the knock-over of the stitch. The threads are provided to the guide bars in a one full/one empty order, only every second needle serving for stitch formation. The number of pile sinkers equals half of the number of needles. Right pile threads are provided which are overreached by the pile sinkers together with the ground threads laid about needles not serving for stitch formation and are then knocked over.

  • Patent number: 5848858
Abstract: A milling cutter is provided with a base body that can be driven in a rotating manner around its longitudinal axis. Support bodies are distributed over the surface of the base body and are supported from centrifugal forces by a base body stopper and are positioned in tension against the base body stopper. The base body has an end face with a central area and a peripheral area around the central area, which central area is recessed with respect to the peripheral area. The central area and peripheral area together forming a step which acts as the base body stopper. The support bodies comprise a counter-step which can interlock with the base body, and a mounting plate is positioned at the end face to support the support bodies.

  • Patent number: 5810527
Abstract: A rotary tool, in particular a high-speed milling or boring tool, has at least two balancing rings (17, 18) with a variable mass around their circumference mounted on the tool holder or tool body (1). Two concentric balancing rings (17, 18) whose position in relation to the axis of rotation (6) of the tool (1) may be adjusted are releasable mounted in the tool holder or in the tool body (1) and are supported in the radial direction (14) in the tool holder or tool body (1). A short rotary tool (1) is thus obtained with a simple support of the balancing rings (17, 18) in the radial direction.
