Abstract: Apparatus for feeding planar workpieces particularly in a worktable for a cutting saw wherein a reciprocating carriage moves on tracks between a feeding unit and a support table onto which planar workpieces arranged on the carriage may be deposited. When in a position closest to the feeding unit, movement of the carriage toward the support table is blocked by an alignment stop means which may be moved into and out of the path of the carriage. After a stack of planar workpieces has been placed on a grated support surface of the carriage, the carriage is moved to the support table which is composed of a plurality of rollers arranged in adjacent rows, the individual elements of the grated support surface of the carriage means being arranged to be located so that when the carriage means is coplanar with the support table, the workpieces may be transferred to the support table by lowering of the grated support surface.

Abstract: Apparatus for aligning planar workpieces symmetrically relative to a center line thereof on a support table including pivotable stop members mounted for longitudinal movement along a beam upon supports which are attached to an endless chain extending around said beam to move said supports in opposed directions upon actuation of piston-cylinder units attached between said beam and said supports.

Abstract: Apparatus for aligning large planar workpieces on a feed table wherein a plurality of pivoted arms are provided which are biased to a raised pivotal position to engage the edge of a workpiece, with the arms being urged to a lowered pivotal position by the weight of a workpiece resting thereon so that lateral movement of a plurality of the arms which may be arranged in rows will enable one of the arms of a row to engage the edge of a workpiece while in its raised pivotal position thereby to effect positioning or alignment of the workpiece.
