  • Patent number: 8904739
Abstract: A method for closing containers with closures by means of a closing device may include screwing closures onto openings of the containers. For closing the containers, a final torque (Dend) may be prescribed, with which the closing operation is completed, and this final torque (Dend) is less than a maximum torque (Dmax), which is applied at least once during the overall closing operation.

  • Publication number: 20070068117
Abstract: A device for screwing caps onto containers with several closing heads revolving on a closed track, each closing head having a controllable gripping tong, a control unit for the opening position and the closed position of the corresponding gripping tong, with each control unit revolving along with and allocated to every gripping tong. The revolving control units can be reversed in direction between the opening position and the closed position by stationary stops. In this manner, a precise and rapid reversal of the gripping tongs, as well as a simple adjustment of the opening- and closed position, is made possible without a stationary control curve.

  • Patent number: 7124552
Abstract: A device for screwing a screw cap onto a container with a magnetic coupling arranged between a spindle which can be driven and the closing head, and in the circumferential area of permanent magnets connected to the closing head, an inductive detector for determining the state of motion is provided. As a result, the simplest means are provided to allow the monitoring of the number of revolutions of the closing head, and defects, such as incorrect container clamping, incorrect closing cone and incorrect threadings, can be readily detected.

  • Patent number: 6998160
Abstract: The invention relates to a five-layered, biaxially oriented, shrinkable, sealable tubular film for the packaging and wrapping of paste-like foodstuffs, meat, or meat with bones and to the use thereof. The tubular film of the invention has an inner layer comprised of at least one copolyamide and at least one modified polyolefin, a layer of a modified polyolefin, a middle layer comprised of at least one homopolyamide and/or at lest one copolyamide and/or at least one copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol and/or a modified polyolefin, a layer of at least one ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, and an outer layer comprised of at least one polyolefin and/or at least one modified polyolefin. Such tubular films involve a significant improvement in the seal seam strength, in particular at low sealing temperatures, a high impermeability to oxygen and a comparable to markedly higher resistance to puncturing compared to prior art films.

  • Patent number: 6994912
Abstract: The invention relates to a coextruded, multilayered, biaxially oriented and weldable flat film for the production of welded tubular films and to the use thereof for wrapping and packaging foodstuffs. The inventive flat film has two weldable surface layers made of at least one copolyamide and at least one amorphous polyamide and/or at least one homopolyamide and/or at least one modified polyolefin.

  • Publication number: 20040071837
Abstract: The invention relates to a multilayered, biaxially oriented, shrinkable and sealable tubular film for the packaging and wrapping of meat, meat with bones, and paste-like foodstuffs and to the use thereof. The inventive, preferably five-layered, tubular film has an inner layer comprised of at least one copolyamide and at least one amorphous polyamide and/or at least one homopolyamide and/or at least one modified polyolefin, a middle polyolefin layer, and an outer layer comprised of at least one homopolyamide and/or at least one copolyamide and/or at least one copolymer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol and/or a modified polyolefin. Two adhesion-promoting layers are situated between the inner layer and middle layer and between the middle layer and outer layer. The film according to the invention has significantly increased seal seam strength even at low sealing temperatures and high resistance to puncturing.

  • Publication number: 20040071993
Abstract: The invention relates to laminated, multilayered and weldable flat film for the production of welded tubular films and to the use thereof for wrapping and packaging foodstuffs. The inventive flat film has two weldable surface layers made of at least one copolyamide and at least one amorphous polyamide and/or at least one homopolyamide and/or at least one modified polyolefin, and is produced by laminating at least two single-layered or multilayered and optionally biaxially oriented flat films.
