  • Patent number: 5009034
Abstract: A window or a door with a panel (1) mounted on a fixed frame (2) on or near an upright boundary edge by hinge fittings (5, 6). To relieve the hinge fittings (5, 6) of the vertical component of the force of weight or load of the panel (3), a brace (11) is provided, engaging with the panel (3) on the one hand in the area of the hinge fittings (5, 6) and on the other hand, anchored to the fixed frame (2) against the force of weight or direction of load of the panel (3). The brace is provided above, but adjacent to, a lower corner hinge.

  • Patent number: 4945702
Abstract: A 3-dimensional locking cover rail corner connection between two component part of a connecting rod fitting which are mounted substantially at a right angle to one another at the closure member or the frame of a window or a door. The longitudinal edges of the cover rail portions of the component parts are braceable against the groove steps of a connecting rod groove in the closure member or frame of the window or door and are fixed within the groove by screws which extend transverse to the planes of the component parts and penetrate into the bottom of the groove. One of the cover rails has a supporting stop which projects inwardly at a right angle from the rail and a pocket beneath the stop having a spacing which corresponds to the thickness of the other cover rail. A bracket as fixed to the inner side of the one cover rail. A hook is fixed to the outer end of the bracket and projects inwardly beyond the supporting stop, the hook having a free end which faces the other cover rail.

  • Patent number: 4921285
Abstract: A connecting rod gearing for windows, doors, etc. having two oppositely shiftable connecting rods under a cover rail. The rotational plane for the toothed rim of a pinion and the plane of motion of the engagement toothings which mesh therewith on two thrust links lie in the cross-sectional area of the housing usually occupied by the cover rail so that the crown (addendum) circle diameter of the pinion can correspond to the complete cross-sectional width of the cover rail. This large pinion diameter results in correspondingly large adjustment differences for the two oppositely shiftable thrust links for a given angle of rotation of the pinion.

  • Patent number: 4903434
Abstract: A hinge joint for windows, doors, or the like which can especially be provided on the swing out arm of a disengagement device for rotary/tilt wing. An angular intermediate piece 14 is swingably held in a bearing block adapted to be fixed at a blind frame. It is connected with a supporting arm 15 which is swingable by 180.degree. around an articulated axis 19--19 through a pivot pin connection. The supporting arm engages the wing as a holding element and is fixable in position with respect to the angular intermediate piece 14 in two swiveling positions offset by 180.degree.. The end of the supporting arm 15 facing the angular intermediate piece 14 exhibits a fork shape having two parallel fork legs 38 adapted to pass laterally along a bearing eye 28 on the intermediate piece 14 wich encompasses the articulated axis 19--19.

  • Patent number: 4861183
Abstract: A limitedly shiftable overlap connection between two platelike parts, as between a U-rail and a covering or blocking platelet of connection rod fittings in which the parts can be brought into connection with one another through a simple snap plug coupling without the need for riveting or welding.

  • Patent number: 4800678
Abstract: A tilt-lock device 3 for rotary tilt-wing windows and doors or the like consists of a tilt-lock plate 4 with lock-webs 14, 15 sitting upon the upright frame bar in the lower frame corner at the lock side and of a locking element 11 associated with the upright wing bar at the lock side sitting at the lower end of a swivel lashing 5. The swivel lashing 5 passes with its bearing pivot 10 through an elongated slot 17 in a U-rail 6 which serves for guidance of the connecting rod 7 . The swivel lashing 5 is releasable for a limited swivel motion at least in the tilt-open switch position and when a locking element 11 engages in a tilt-lock pocket 12 of the tilt-lock plate 4. A flexible bar spring 19 sits with two laterally spaced legs 19b, 19c interconected through a web 19a on the one hand in a mounting support 6, 17 and is clamped on the other hand with its two legs 19b and 19c at the swivel lashing 5 at a distance from the axis of its bearing pivot 10.
