  • Patent number: 10290471
Abstract: A device is provided for generating plasma by microwaves for CVD coating a substrate having a vacuum container into which a reaction gas can be fed and an electrical conductor arranged therein which is connected on each of both ends thereof to a device for coupling microwaves and to a voltage source with which a difference of potential can generated between the electrical conductor and the surrounding vacuum container. The electrical conductor is electrically insulated from the devices for coupling microwaves. The electrical conductor has a rod-shaped design or a curved run. The electrical conductor is connected to the voltage source via a feedthrough filter. The device for coupling microwaves expands in a funnel shape toward the electrical conductor and is partially or completely filled by a dielectric material. The device for coupling microwaves has groove-shaped recesses running along a circumference.

  • Publication number: 20110266717
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of shaped foam bodies, comprising: provision of a composition having foam particles and binder; introduction of the composition into a space which is bounded on at least one side by a pressing surface; and exertion of pressure onto the composition by means of the pressing surface. The method further comprises irradiation of microwaves through the pressing surface into the composition, while pressure is being exerted onto the composition. The invention furthermore relates to a device for carrying out the method according to the invention, having: at least one pressing surface and a counterbearing surface lying opposite, between which a space extends which is adapted to receive a composition of foam particles and binder. The pressing surface and counterbearing surface adjoin the space directly.

  • Patent number: 6831259
Abstract: An apparatus for the heating of pressed stock in the manufacture of boards of material or in the manufacture of veneer panels. The apparatus includes a microwave preheating device having rod antennae disposed in series, reflective shields, and a heating cell configured as a continuous oven in which the introduction of microwaves into the pressed stock takes place via the rod antennae. The rod antennae are attached to lie horizontally and transversely to the direction of production above, below, or above and below the pressed stock within the heating cell. The reflective surfaces are assigned to the rod antennae on the opposite sides of the pressed stock.

  • Patent number: 6420688
Abstract: Device for heating components 8, 8′ of a microwave-absorbing plastic material, said device incorporating a microwave generator 1 which generates microwaves of a particular frequency, an antenna 4 with at least one free end 5, 5′ to which the microwaves are conducted, and an enclosure 6 surrounding and shielding the antenna 4, with a heating zone 9, 9′ provided between the free end 5, 5′ of the antenna 4 and the shielding enclosure 6 for the localized heating of the components 8, 8′, said device featuring in the area of the heating zone 9, 9′ at least one temperature sensor 11, 11′ which is interactively unaffected by the microwaves and which is capable of determining the temperature of the component 8, 8′ during the heating process. This device in combination with the associated process for heating components 8, 8′ permits the monitoring of the temperature in the heating zone 9, 9′, thus ensuring a consistent quality level of the heated components.
