  • Patent number: 9206773
Abstract: A fuel system (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f) for a motor vehicle internal combustion engine, having a fuel tank (2) with a fuel vapor venting path (4) containing an activated carbon filter (3), in which a fresh air stream (7) blown or sucked in the direction of the tank venting valve (6) by an independent pump unit (5) arranged close to the activated carbon filter (3) can be made to flow through the activated carbon filter (3), at least at the periphery thereof and, in that case, preferably at the fresh air side to regenerate said filter.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 4, 2012
Date of Patent: December 8, 2015
Assignee: Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Porsche Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Andreas Menke, Josef Oesterle, Horst Petri
  • Patent number: 8671978
Abstract: A refueling device (1) for refueling a fuel tank (2) of an internal combustion engine (3) in a motor vehicle (4) has a filler connector (5) for feeding fuel to the fuel tank (2). An integrated fuel feed device (10) feeds the fuel from the filler connector (5) to the fuel tank (2).

  • Patent number: 5003785
Abstract: An air-conditioning system controls the temperature of the air flow such that a deviation of an interior temperature of the passenger compartment of the vehicle determined by an interior temperature sensor from a givable desired temperature becomes minimal (interior temperature control). In the case of vehicles with closable vehicle body openings, such as a convertible, a switching device is provided which detects the condition of the vehicle body opening and, when the vehicle is open, causes a switching-over of the air-conditioning system from interior temperature control mode to a blow-out temperature control mode.

  • Patent number: 4996849
Abstract: An air conditioning system for a preferably air cooled vehicle has a housing having an evaporator, a chamber and at least one blower. The housing, by way of outlet ducts having individually blockable defroster, center and legroom nozzles, is connected with a passenger compartment. By way of a warm air duct having an exhaust gas heat exchanger, the housing is acted upon by warm air, by way of an inflow duct having a fresh air flap controlled by an electric motor, it is acted upon by fresh air, and by way of an inflow duct for circulating air, it is acted upon by air from the interior of the vehicle. In this case, warm air and/or fresh air and/or circulating air, by way of a temperature mixing flap, is guided to a blower, is swirled together and mixed in it, and subsequently by way of the individual outlet ducts, is guided to the passenger compartment.

  • Patent number: 4956979
Abstract: In a heating and/or air-conditioning system for a motor vehicle, which has a first drain for rain and washing water and a second drain for the condensation water forming in the area of the evaporator, it is provided that both drains, at least in part, are integrated, specifically separate from one another, into the housing of the heating and/or air-conditioning system.

  • Patent number: 4913347
Abstract: So that, in the case of a preferably air-cooled vehicle, the air-conditioning system responds rapidly to changing heated-air temperatures as well as fluctuations in volume, heated air and/or fresh air and/or circulating air or cooled air is together guided to a fan, is swirled together and mixed in this fan and is subsequently, by way of outflow ducts, guided to the vehicle interior. A blow-out temperature sensor arranged behind the fan continuously scans the temperature deviation of the mixed air from the adjusted desired temperature and, as necessary, automatically corrects the position of a temperature mixing flap provided in front of the fan.
