  • Patent number: 4908598
Abstract: The cover of a casing of the potentiometer is formed with an opening which is adapted to be closed by another cover and through which the top surface of a resistor core is accessible. Trimming resistors are located on the top surface and are connected electrically to a resistor path applied on the bottom surface of the resistor core. This permits adjustments of the potentiometer to be made even when the assembly is completed.

  • Patent number: 4894638
Abstract: A potentiometer for attachment to objects undergoing strong vibrations, such as the engine block of an internal combustion engine has an outer housing which is secured to the object and an inner housing which is largely positioned inside the outer housing. The two housings are connected by at least one springy damping member, such as an O-ring made of rubber and, at the same time, they are largely uncoupled with respect to vibrations.
