The transition (24) between the needle plate (17) and the support (15) is designed as an interface (25) with predescribed positions for transferring electronic signals and predescribed positions being fitted as contacts (26,27) and counter-contacts (28,29).

    Abstract: A tape feed device for an elastic tape from a supply at a sewing machine having a biased actuating lever, whose angular position varies in dependence upon the size of a loop and which controls the motor of a take-off roller. An adjuster, which is electrically actuable in a controlled manner, acts on the actuating lever in such a way that the tape tension can be altered in accordance with an electrical variable. The adjuster has a coil whose electromagnetic field lines cut an armature which is connected to the actuating lever.

    Abstract: A sewing machine for the controlled sewing on of a tape from a tape supply onto a tubular edge region of an elastic workpiece thus forming a band, which is provided with an additional feed dog in front of the usual feed dog in the region of the needle plate. The additional feed dog is driven by a stepping motor transversely with respect to the workpiece feed direction and is used to guide and align the workpiece. Sensors control the alignment movement of the workpiece.
