  • Patent number: 5683267
Abstract: An electrical contact element has an elongate three-dimensional body formed of a single stamped sheet metal piece and has a first end and a second end with a longitudinal center line extending from the first to the second end. The first end of the body has an insulation displacement contact with a first and a second pair of legs for receiving and contacting a cable. Each one of the first and the second pairs has an insertion slot defined between the legs. The second end of the body has a forked spring with a first and a second fork leg defining therebetween a receiving slot for receiving and contacting a flat blade plug. Each one of the fork legs consists of two independently elastically deflectable leaf springs. Each one of the leaf springs has at least one contact zone projecting inwardly into the receiving slot. The contact zones of the two leaf springs of each one of the fork legs are located laterally relative to the longitudinal center line.

  • Patent number: 5088933
Abstract: An electrical contact element, which contacts by a cutting and clamping action, for an electrical wire plug connection consists of a forked spring, which has defined between its two flanks an introduction slot for the cutting and clamping contact of an electrical wire. The contact by cutting and clamping is improved by introducing a perforation into the flat forked spring, which is essentially the continuation of an introduction slot. An intermediate cross-piece remains between the introduction slot and the perforation.

  • Patent number: 5052942
Abstract: A device for electrically contacting a printed circuit board with an electronic card, especially an IC-memory card, that has contacting poles along one of its sides, comprises a housing, that encloses the electronic card completely and comprises a bottom portion with which the housing is attached to the printed circuit board and a lid portion arranged at an acute angle relative to the bottom portion. After the electronic card is inserted into the housing via an insertion slot, while resting on the bottom portion, the electronic card is pivoted upward until it reaches the underside of the lid portion and is there locked into a fixed position by a locking device.
