  • Publication number: 20040000161
Abstract: A cooling-heating circuit for a powered vehicle, in particular an electric vehicle with a fuel cell, has at least two devices increasing the temperature of the cooling-heating circuit and at least two devices reducing the temperature of the cooling-heating circuit. The temperature-increasing and/or the temperature-reducing devices are associated with the cooling-heating circuit at least to some extent according to their operating states, in particular their temperatures. For improved utilization of the waste heat, a heat pump circuit is associated with the cooling-heating circuit.

  • Patent number: 6260376
Abstract: Air conditioning installation for a motor vehicle with a cold reservoir, which can be charged via an evaporator of a primary circuit, and with a heat exchanger which can deliver cold stored in the cold reservoir via a secondary circuit to the interior of the vehicle, in which the secondary circuit contains at least one further heat exchanger, which is in a heat-exchanging relationship with the evaporator of the primary circuit and preferably also with the cold reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20010001982
Abstract: A heating and air conditioning unit of a motor vehicle has a heat exchanger that can be supplied with coolant of the engine and a compressor disposed in the refrigerant circuit of the air conditioning unit for the compression of a gaseous refrigerant. The heat exchanger 3, apart from the exchanger region 6 through which the coolant flows, has a separate exchanger region 7 for the heated refrigerant, which can be supplied with heated refrigerant via a bypass line 14 branching on the pressure side of the compressor 8 from the refrigerant circuit. The bypass line 14, after passing though the heat exchanger 3, discharges on the suction side of the compressor 8 again into the refrigerant circuit.

  • Patent number: 5267896
Abstract: A heater and/or air conditioner with air-side temperature adjustment includes adjustment with an air-mix flap in front of a mixing chamber, which with a simple and compact construction, guarantees a clear separation between intake-side fresh-air conduction, on the one hand, and warm air conduction, on the other hand, and exhibits only a small air-side contact resistance. A ring-shaped heat exchanger which is closed upon itself, is provided with a ring-shaped surrounding warm-air-duct disk and an axially upstream, ring-shaped surrounding cold-air-duct disk in each case on the outlet side with a crossover branching off into a shared mixing chamber controllable by an air-mix flap with a connected floor air duct or defrost air duct.

  • Patent number: 4742813
Abstract: A signal generator equipped with a shading device and two light sensors is arranged on the upper side of a slat equipped with retro-reflective prisms and rotatable about a longitudinal axis. Depending upon the sun's position relative to the slat, the light sensors are variously shaded or illuminated by means of the shading device, and when the slat is rotated about its longitudinal axis, the light sensors supply electrical code values which change in opposing directions. A difference between the code values is fed via an amplifier to a servo-motor which rotates the slat about its longitudinal axis until the plane of incidence of the sun's rays, which passes through the longitudinal axis, is at right angles to the upper side of the slat. This ensures that sun's rays which hit the slat are reflected regardless of the sun's position, the time of year, and the alignment of the facade plane in which the slat is arranged.
