  • Publication number: 20040056230
Abstract: A directional control valve which is operated directly, particularly electromagnetically, of the cartridge type. A valve of this type has a valve sleeve on the outside of which at least two connecting areas are different from one another and which has an axially running valve bore which is open towards an end face which is at the rear in the installation direction of the cartridge and towards an electromagnet, and into which a bush-like valve seat having a seating edge is inserted, and into which a transverse bore, which is open on the outside towards a connecting area opens at a distance from the seating edge.

  • Patent number: 5337783
Abstract: A poppet valve comprising a ball supported within an axial bushing, the ball being urged onto the valve seat by an operating element and being lifted off the valve seat by the force of a spring, wherein pressure is applied to the ball surface within the valve seat, is characterized in that the end of the bushing facing the valve seat protrudes in tangential direction beyond the periphery or equator of the ball and defines together with the ball surface in this region a space for fluid flow inversion to thereby further improving the lifting aid achieved by the bushing with respect to a further decrease of the switching delay together with an increase of the flow rate while maintaining the same flow losses as prior art poppet valves with such bushing.

  • Patent number: 4962791
Abstract: The invention relates to a seat valve in which a ball-shaped valve element is held in a sleeve which has control edges which cooperate with an opening arranged between the valve seats and connected to a connection. On switching over of the valve element from one valve seat to the other a positive switching overlap of the seat valve is achieved and with relatively small ball diameters large flow rates can be controlled.

  • Patent number: 4694862
Abstract: In a directional seat valve all the valve seat components disposed axially adjacent each other in the housing bore are held between two closure screws and for assembling the valve the movable valve elements are supported via the valve actuating pin on a punch. By turning the closure screws the valve seat components can be adjusted in the axial direction so that the actuating pin has a predetermined spacing with respect to the housing end side of the valve. An advantage resides in that in the assembly of the valve itself a constant dimension can be set between the actuating pin and the housing and consequently an adjustment on subsequent attachment to the actuating means dispensed with, in particular an adjustment of the actuator cooperating with the actuating pin.
