    Abstract: A method for preparing an aqueous polyurethane dispersion, comprising (a) preparing a prepolymer with free NCO groups by reacting an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic polyisocyanate with a polyol, and an anionic compound; (b) dispersing said prepolymer in water; (c) reacting said water-dispersed prepolymer with a diamino hydrazide of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is an alkylene group of 2 to 15 carbon atoms or a cycloalkylene or arylene group of 6 to 15 carbon atoms as a chain lengthening agent; (d) reacting the prepolymer of step (c) in said dispersion with formaldehyde to effect crosslinking.

C., and wherein the uretidinedione groups present in the adduct are cleavable with heat into .gtoreq.98% --NCO groups, and a polyol having an OH functionality .gtoreq.3.4 to .ltoreq.7, an average molecular weight of 2000 to 5000, an OH number between 30 and 100 mg KOH/g, a viscosity of <100,000 mpa.s at 160.degree. C., and a melting point .

C. and 130.degree. C., and(b) a polyol having an OH-functionality of 2.2 to 3.5, an average molecular weight of 2000 to 4500, a hydroxyl number of 30 to 100 mg KOH/g, a viscosity of <80,000 mPa.s at 160.degree. C. and a melting point between 65.degree. C. and 120.degree. C.

    Abstract: A process of producing storage-stable urethane acryls which comprises:(A) forming a prepolymer by reacting one isocyanate group of a cycloaliphatic diisocyanate having two isocyanate groups of substantially different reactivity, with a single NCO reactive hydroxy group-containing acrylic compound which is additionally polymerizable;(B) reacting said prepolymer with a multifunctional polyol to thereby obtain a substantially NCO-free urethane acryl. Acryl urethanes produced can be used as hot melts or in mixtures with reactive diluents for coatings of plastics, metals, wood, pressboards, glass, leather, concrete, and the like.

    Abstract: A method for the coating and protection of a glass surface which comprises:treating the glass surface with an aqueous or an alcoholic solution of a silane in order to provide a skim coat thereon, drying the resulting silane-coated surface, coating the dried silane-coated surface with a paste comprising (1) an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diisocyanate, a mixture thereof, or a reaction product thereof with water, wherein the mole ratio of said diisocyanate to water is 2:.ltoreq.1 and (2) a hydroxy-group containing polyester derived from a .omega.-hydroxy carboxylic acid or a lactone therefrom and a triol, wherein said acid or lactone contains at least 4 carbon atoms, and hardening the paste. Glass bottles coated by this a method are also described in this invention.

C. The high-melting resin obtained by the aforementioned method.
