  • Publication number: 20180009280
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a pressure vessel for a motor vehicle comprises the steps: providing a hollow basic body as a primary stage of the pressure vessel, wherein the basic body has an initial internal volume, and wherein the basic body has a wall, which extends fully around a longitudinal axis of the basic body, wherein the wall has an opening, which has an opening rim; providing a hollow auxiliary body, which has a base wall and a peripheral wall, wherein the peripheral wall is open on a side lying opposite the base wall; joining the auxiliary body with the basic body at the opening in the wall of the basic body, such that the pressure vessel having a desired final internal volume which is larger or smaller than the initial internal volume of the basic body is obtained. In addition, such a pressure vessel in the form of an air suspension pot of a suspension is described.

  • Patent number: 9844830
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a pot-shaped pressure vessel, in particular an air spring pot for a vehicle, comprises the following steps: providing a pot, which comprises a bottom, which comprises at least one aperture, providing at least one screw, which comprises a head and a shank, inserting the shank of the at least one screw through the aperture from an inside of the pot, so that the shank of the screw protrudes from an outside of the bottom, and firmly joining the screw to the bottom of the pot. In the transitional area from the head to the shank at least one screw comprises a connecting section tapering from the head to the shank and extending all round the circumference. In inserting the shank through the aperture the connecting section is brought to bear against the edge of the aperture, and the connecting section is joined to the edge of the aperture along its bearing contact with the latter.

  • Publication number: 20100129015
Abstract: A method for producing a component made of metal, particularly for a head bearing housing of a spring strut. The component comprises a base part and a flange that extends away therefrom. The flange comprises a substantially tubular portion having a first diameter and a collar-type rim portion that adjoins the tubular portion. The free edge of the tubular portion has a second diameter that is greater than the first diameter of the tubular portion. A raw component is provided comprising a base part and a cylindrically tubular portion having a third diameter that is at least greater than the first diameter. The third diameter of the cylindrically tubular portion is reduced to the first diameter at a distance from an edge of the tubular portion by forming by means of a forming tool that is applied to the outside of the tubular portion and that acts approximately radially toward the longitudinal center axis, in such a way that the collar-type rim portion is constituted.

  • Patent number: 7232117
Abstract: A pneumatic spring pot has a pot wall and a bottom connected to the pot wall and also an annular flange connected, opposite the bottom, to the pot wall and intended for the fastening of, for example, a pneumatic spring concertina, the annular flange having a smaller diameter than the largest diameter of the pot wall. The bottom, pot wall and annular flange are formed in one piece with one another by sheet metal forming from a sheet part, in such a way that the annular flange is formed from the outer edge region of the sheet bar. Furthermore, a method for producing the pneumatic spring pot is described.
