  • Patent number: 9528647
Abstract: A coupling for connection to a source of fluid pressure such as in a breathing-protection. The coupling has a socket end and a plug end insertable into the socket end. The socket end has a body and a locking sleeve on the body. As the plug end is inserted into the socket end, the locking sleeve is moved axial from a first axial position to a second axial position locking the plug end within the socket end, and rotationally from a release position to a locked position delimiting the movement of the locking sleeve from the second axial position to the first axial position. When the coupling is pressurized, a piston within the body is moved from a retracted position to an extended position delimiting the rotational movement of the locking sleeve from the locked position to the release position.

  • Patent number: 8596689
Abstract: A short-body connector for fluid couplings made of a sleeve-shaped body. In the sleeve-shaped body an internal thread is provided, by which the connector can be screwed onto a threaded connection. Relative to axial extension, the locking groove and locking rib serving to hold the connector in the coupler are located at the height of the thread. That is, the locking rib and locking groove located ahead of the thread in the state of the art have moved to the region of the thread in the arrangement according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 7950415
Abstract: A socket part actuated without pressure for a fluid coupling is provided with a mechanism for mechanically sealing, to a large extent, the insertion space of a plug against the penetration of foreign matter. In addition, a throttling device is provided, which practically does not obstruct the fluid connection for an inserted plug, while a high flow resistance is produced for a plug that has been pulled out, without, however, completely blocking the flow path. The associated plug also has a sealing device in order to protect the flow channel against the penetration of particles when the plug is removed. In case the plug is connected to a compressed-air tank, this is provided with a throttling device, which practically does not obstruct flow for an inserted plug, but forms considerable flow resistance for a removed plug without completely blocking the flow.

  • Patent number: 4706370
Abstract: In a cutting and mounting apparatus for cutting a film section (9) which can be lowered into a slide mount (10) positioned below a cutting tool (5) in a slider (7), and which upon withdrawal of slider (7) can be snapped into the slide mount (10) while resting agaisnt a guiding jaw (2a), a component (12), shiftably guided on the slider (7), is designed as a U-shaped resilient clamp enclosing the rear area of the slider (7). The component (12) comprises guiding elements (12b) which point in the direction of movement of the slider (7), and are formed by tongues pointing upwardly at an angle, seizing the rear edge of a bent film section (9) when the slider (7) has been partly extended, and deflecting said rear edge so that it snaps into the groove-shaped recess in the rear frame portion (10b) of slide mount (10).

  • Patent number: 4698883
Abstract: In a cutting and mounting apparatus for cutting a film section (9) which can be lowered into a slide mount (10) positioned below a cutting tool (5) in a slider (7), and which upon withdrawal of slider (7) can be snapped into the slide mount (10) while resting against a guiding jaw (2a), said guiding jaw (2a) forms part of a cover plate (2) serving for supporting a cutting plate (3) and covering the guide channel (1a) of slider (7). The slide mount (10) is urged against the stationary guiding jaw (2a) free from play by means of a leaf spring (8) extending below the slider (7). During this operation, the front edge of the film section (9) abuts against an offset abutment edge (2e) of the guiding jaw (2a) so that the film section (9) is slid into a rear slot of the slide mount (10), is bent and snaps into a front slot in the slide mount (10).

  • Patent number: 4668067
Abstract: In a photographic shutter, an opening blade and a closing blade are settable in respective tensioned positions from which the blades can be released to first uncover and then recover an exposure opening. A cam device is mounted for unidirectional rotation to release the blades from their tensioned positions and to reset the blades to such positions. The cam device has an arcuate camming surface which extends spirally about the axis of the cam device from an area of minimum radius to an area of maximum radius as the cam device is rotated. A step-like surface of the cam device connects the areas of maximum and minimum radii to cause an abrupt drop from the maximum radius area to the minimum radius area. Respective springs urge the opening and closing blades against the camming surface.

  • Patent number: 4306858
Abstract: A burner housing lodged in a furnace wall comprises a nest of coaxial tubes including an inner gas-supply tube terminating in a burner head, an intermediate air-supply tube extending past that head to form a combustion chamber, and an outer tube defining with the intermediate tube a return duct for combustion gases. The metallic intermediate tube is provided with thermally conductive vanes facilitating the preheating of the entering combustion air by the high-temperature exhaust gases whose residual heat is then utilized to preheat the incoming fuel gas in a heat exchanger laterally connected with the outer tube. An ancillary burner at the opposite end of the inner tube directs a pilot flame toward the burner head.

  • Patent number: 4140482
Abstract: A fuel-fired radiant-heating tube for an industrial furnace is provided, at its fuel-feed end externally of the furnace, with an acoustic damper or muffler which comprises a double-wall housing defining two elongated annular flow passages in indirect heat-exchanging relationship through a thermally conductive inner wall. The combustion exhaust gases are conducted through one of these passages while combustion-sustaining gas, e.g. air, is supplied through the other in counterflow to the exhaust gas, thereby preheating the air. The outer wall is provided with acoustic and/or thermal insulation while at least one of the passages is provided with sound-damping elements, e.g. vanes for baffling the flow through this passage.

  • Patent number: 4034391
Abstract: An improved exposure control apparatus for use in a camera having a shutter mechanism utilizing a setting member with first and second positions corresponding to first and second exposure time setting positions of the shutter mechanism. A spring linkage is provided to urge the setting member towards its first position. The spring linkage, upon manual movement of the setting member to its second position, cooperates with structure within the camera to releasably retain the setting member in its second position. A release member, actuated by the preparation of the camera for the next exposure, releases the spring linkage simultaneously with increasing the restoring force exerted on the setting member by the sprink linkage.

  • Patent number: 4023192
Abstract: An improved shutter mechanism of the sliding blade-type for synchronizing the firing of a flash device with the movement of one of the shutter blades to effect an exposure. During movement of the blade, an abutment surface on the blade momentarily closes the contacts of a switch to activate an electrically-fired flash device. A second abutment surface, located on either the shutter blade or a cover blade, prevents closing of the switch contacts during recocking of the shutter mechanism.

  • Patent number: 3964238
Abstract: The apparatus comprises a tank, having a perforated wall disposed above its bottom, arranged to be flooded with a disinfectant and to have the disinfectant drained therefrom, and arranged to have a laminar flow of germ-free air under pressure directed against the surface of the liquid during draining thereof. A pair of laterally spaced guide rails extend longitudinally through the tank in parallel relation with each other. A plurality of container-working stations and a container-filling station are arranged linearly along the guide rails, each container-working station comprising a pair of mutually displaceable, mirror-reversed mating tool parts, each mounted on a respective guide rail. A pair of webs of thermoplastic material or metal foil, which have already been subjected to a preliminary aseptic treatment, are constantly supplied into the tank for step-by-step displacement along the several container-working stations and the container-filling station.
