  • Patent number: 9223470
Abstract: A method for monitoring a technical installation with a plurality of installation components connected to one another for transmitting data in order to perform process steps is provided. Status messages, each status message containing a plurality of individual messages, are displayed on a display unit. Upon initiation of the display of a status message, it is determined which individual messages assigned to the status message are to be displayed.

  • Patent number: 8086325
Abstract: The invention relates to a process control system comprising a calculating unit enabling a charge value (W) to be determined from operations occurring in the process control system. Preferably, said process control system comprises a process control computer with a web server and a computer which is used to access the processes control computer via Internet. The charging value (W) is especially a service fee which is to be paid to an application service provider by a user of the process control system.

  • Publication number: 20110264243
Abstract: A method of control for a process control system and an appropriate control system is provided. Model calculations are integrated into the process control system such that the setpoint values calculated using the model calculations are processed further like measured values in the process control system, and control commands are derived from the measured values and/or setpoint values. The model calculations are integrated into the process control system using an adaptation program. The adaptation program includes program code and associated data from the model calculations and, in comparison with the other program components of the process control systems, is designed like a program component of the process control system. Within the adaptation program, the interfaces of the adaptation program match those of the model calculations.

  • Patent number: 7703093
Abstract: A method is disclosed for a system including at least one process management computer and a number of field devices, whereby status and control signals are transmitted between at least some of the field devices and the process management computer using a TCP/IP protocol over a communication channel, preferably a radio connection and/or the Internet. A process management system includes a process management computer with a web-server, a client computer with an Internet browser and a number of sensors and actuators. The process management system may preferably be operated by way of the Internet, using the client computer.

  • Patent number: 6883030
Abstract: The embodiment of a respective application-specific call code, necessary in the existing art, as an external control element implemented in a separate component is described. The external control element is usable in any desired containers without thereby modifying the containers themselves or even knowing them at the time the external control element is designed. This may be used in data or information transmission systems, in particular process visualization systems. The components are implemented as software components, in particular as so-called ActiveX controls.

  • Publication number: 20040249651
Abstract: The invention relates to a method in which at least one process management computer (7) and a number of field devices (FD) are applied, whereby status and control signals are transmitted between at least some of the field devices and the process management computer using a TCP/IP protocol over a communication channel, preferably a radio connection (F) and/or the Internet (15). According to the invention, a process management system (5) comprises a process management computer (7) with a web-server (9), a client computer (20) with an internet browser (22) and a number of sensors (S) and actuators (A). The process management system (5) may preferably be operated by means of the internet (15), using the client computer (20).

  • Patent number: 6169927
Abstract: A control system for an industrial plant, where the control system includes an automation level, a management level and a control level hierarchically located below the management level and above the automation level. The control system also includes functional units situated in the control level and executing respective functions. The functional units receive input values and process these input values using the respective functions. The functional units are interlinkable as a function of technical problems to be solved. These functional units have a modular designed, each of the functional units including a configurable input area, a configurable functional area and a configurable output area. In addition, each of the functional units is connected to the management level, to the automation level and to another functional unit via data transfer media.
