  • Publication number: 20040129501
Abstract: The invention relates to a gearless cable lift with a drive disk mechanism which is dually wound by several bearer cables, comprising a counter disk (3), an elevator car (6), guide tracks for the elevator car (6) and a counter weight, especially for installation with a machine room. According to the invention, the bearer cables are guided in semicircular grooves and the ratio of the drive disk diameter to the nominal diameter of the bearing cables is 40.

  • Patent number: 6146303
Abstract: The objective of the invention is a drive unit for a hoist, in particular for a hoist consisting of a motor 3, a gear 1, a brake 2, and a brake housing 8 serving as support, onto which the facing of the motor and/or the gear is flanged. The drive unit has a shaft 6, which simultaneously serves as a motor shaft and as a gear shaft, and the brake body 2 within the brake housing 8 is fastened to the shaft. Preferably, the motor 3 and/or the gear 1 are flanged, unsupported, to both sides of the brake housing 8. The construction according to the invention significantly shortens the total length of the drive unit. Furthermore, the installation and assembly costs in money, time, and materials are decreased.

  • Patent number: 6102165
Abstract: For controlling and surveying the operation of elevator systems pulse generators are used which are integrated into antifriction bearings of mutually pivotable structural members of the elevator system. By measuring pulse numbers and pulse frequency, conditions of movement and positions of moving parts, like e.g. the elevator cage (5) and the doors (13), can be detected and evaluated in a computer.

  • Patent number: 5788017
Abstract: The subject matter of the patent relates to an elevator with an elevator cage 10 guided in rucksack-type manner on a mount frame and a counterweight 15 connected to said elevator cage through a cable control. Therein two equiaxed rolls 20, 21 are disposed on said counterweight and two rolls 16, 18 parallel to the axes are disposed one beside the other on the upper crossbeam and equal numbers of ropes are guided about one roll each on the counterweight and on the crossbeam, wherein the rope ends acting on the guide section of said elevator cage are defined at the lateral ends of said guide section in symmetry with the central axis of said elevator cage. The individual ropes 25a, 25b, 26a, 26b, over their entire lengths run in parallel with one another in one plane within the mount frame 4 guiding said elevator cage 10 and said counterweight 15.

  • Patent number: 5435209
Abstract: A drive unit for a hoisting apparatus and, in particular, a passenger or freight elevator, has a supporting structure, a drive motor, a brake apparatus and a planet gear. The planet gear is driven by the drive motor and has a housing jacket which forms the drive stage and bears a pulley on its periphery. The planet gear is supported by the supporting structure on both sides of the pulley. As opposed to a one-sided support, this results in a favorable load distribution. The brake apparatus is provided on the driven portion of the planet gear.
