  • Patent number: 9515482
Abstract: Consciousness of environmental conservation is increasing nowadays, and there are power generators for a portable device and employing power generation schemes without a co2 discharge, such as solar power generation and hand-crank power generation. When, however, power is supplied, information indicating that the power is obtained from clean energy without a CO2 discharge is unknown at the portable-device side. When power is supplied from the power generator to the portable device, a power generation scheme identifier for identifying a power generation scheme is transmitted. The portable device identifies the power generation scheme identifier, and can recognize the power generation scheme of the connected power generator. A supplied power level is recognized based on a power level of the storage battery of the portable device at a time point of starting the power supply, and a power level of the storage battery at a time point of terminating the power supply.

  • Publication number: 20130124677
Abstract: Provided is a broadcast supplemental data transmission device, a broadcast supplemental data transmission method, and a broadcast system that can reduce the traffic of a communication network as much as possible at the time of supplementing missing data in broadcasted content data. When “GET HTTP/1.1 If Unmodified Since Time Information”, which is a request for retransmission of missing data containing time information, is received from a receiving device, an HTTP response module determines whether there is rebroadcast of contents containing missing data based on the time information contained in the request for retransmission. When it is determined by the HTTP response module that there is rebroadcast, “412 Precondition Failed”, which is one of error notifications, is transmitted as a response to the receiving device, and the transmission of the contents through a communication network is not performed.

  • Patent number: 8411531
Abstract: A modulation device, a demodulation device, and a transmission system and acoustic signal transmission method using them which can carry out a synchronization process for data signals without using a carrier frequency for a synchronization signal. The modulation device transmits an acoustic signal superposed with a PN sequence set according to a carrier frequency and a data signal. A demodulation device receives the acoustic signal, determines the PN sequence having the highest maximum correlation value with the acoustic signal in a plurality of PN sequences, detects a symbol synchronization point according to the correlation value between the thus determined PN sequence and the acoustic signal, and performs a synchronization process. Thereafter, according to the detected synchronization point and determined PN sequence, an OFDM demodulation processing unit decides the carrier frequency band of the data signal superposed on the acoustic signal and demodulates the data signal.

  • Patent number: 7916739
Abstract: Cryptographically Protected Prefixes (“CPPs”) are used to create IP addresses, preventing any correlation between a CPP IP address and a host's geographic location. An IP address is subdivided into address prefixes of multiple segments. Each segment is encrypted with a cryptographic key known only to a subset of routers in the access network domain (or Privacy Domain). Therefore, each router obtains the information it needs to forward a packet of information, but not any additional information.

  • Publication number: 20090067292
Abstract: An acoustic signal transmission system of the present invention is a system for transmitting information via sound waves, and has a modulation device, a plurality of speakers, a microphone and a demodulation device. The modulation device generates transmission acoustic signals by encoding transmission signals based on a transmission diversity method and allocating the encoded transmission signals to a plurality of transmission paths. The plurality of speakers output the transmission acoustic signals as sound waves respectively based on the allocation. The microphone receives the sound waves which are output from the plurality of speakers, and outputs received acoustic signals. The demodulation device decodes the received acoustic signals based on the transmission diversity method by using a transfer function of the each sound wave from the plurality of speakers to the microphone.
