  • Patent number: 8761964
Abstract: In a method for controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in a flight space using a computing device, a 3D sample database is created and store in a storage device of the computing device. The computing device includes a depth-sensing camera that captures a 3D scene image of a scene in front of a user, and senses a depth distance between the user and the depth-sensing camera. A 3D person image of the user is detected from the 3D scene image, and gesture information of the user is obtained by comparing the 3D person image with human gesture data stored in the 3D sample database. The method converts the gesture information of the user into one or more flight control commands, and drives a driver of the UAV to control the UAV to fly in a flight space according to the flight control commands.

  • Publication number: 20140142818
Abstract: A vehicle speed control method detects a speed of a vehicle by a speed sensor of the vehicle, and determines location information of the vehicle by a global positioning system when the vehicle is driving on a road. The method transmits the location information of the vehicle to a host via a network, and receives speed limit information of the road sent from the host. The method then determines whether the speed of the vehicle exceeds a speed limit range of the road. If the speed of the vehicle exceeds the speed limit range of the road, the controls an automatic gearbox of the vehicle to adjust the speed of the vehicle to fall within the speed limit range.

  • Publication number: 20140135992
Abstract: A method stores multiple sets of consecutive images of a burner, determines a number of unburned-state images in each set of consecutive images, and determines a threshold number of the unburned-state images in each set of consecutive images for determining whether or not the burner works abnormally. When the burner is turned on, the method sends a first control signal to turn on a camera and receives a set of real-time consecutive images of the burner captured by the camera. The method determines whether or not a number of unburned-state images in the set of real-time consecutive images is less than the threshold number. If the number is equal to or more than the threshold number, the burner works abnormally and a security device connected to the burner is turned off to prevent gas from flowing to the burner.

  • Publication number: 20140134593
Abstract: A parts assembly direction method stores sample images of parts and instructions for assembly of the parts in a storage device of an assembly table. When the assembly table receives the parts, a camera captures a real-time image of the assembly table, and the method determines if the real-time image of the assembly table contains images of the parts. If the real-time image of the assembly table contains images of the parts, the method determines whether the parts are qualified by comparing the images of the parts with the sample images of the parts. If the parts are unqualified, the method displays prompt information on a screen of the assembly table to alert users that the parts are unqualified. Otherwise, if the parts are qualified, the method displays the real-time image of the assembly table and the instructions for assembly of the parts on the screen.

  • Publication number: 20140118498
Abstract: A wearable device detects movement data of a user. A camera of the wearable device captures a three-dimensional (3D) image of an area surrounding the user. A determination is made as to whether a dangerous object appears in the area by analyzing the 3D image. If a dangerous object appears in the area, the a dangerous object appears in the area determines a distance between the user and the dangerous object, and triggers an alarm device to send out an alarm, on condition that the distance between the user and the dangerous object falls within a preset alarm range and a movement direction of the user is approaching the dangerous object.

  • Publication number: 20140113719
Abstract: A computing device includes a video game direction system. The system sets correct action samples and wrong action samples for a video game and a standard for determining whether actions of players are correct. When a player starts the video game in the computing device, the system displays the correct action samples on a screen, receives movement data in relation to each action of the player, compares the movement data in relation to each action of the player with movement data of a corresponding correct action sample, and determines whether the action performed by the player is correct according to a comparison result and the standard. If the action is correct, the system displays a next correct action sample on the screen. Otherwise, if the action is wrong, the system determines which wrong action sample that the action belongs to, and displays suggestions to correct the action on the screen.
