Patent number: 5960779Abstract: An arrow rest arrangement for an archery bow and a quick change launcher formed from a friction reducing noise arresting polymer composition in selected sizes and shapes to facilitate different types of arrows. The launcher supports the arrow prior to launching and provides initial guidance to the arrow at launch. The arrow rest includes a holder for retaining the arrow in position prior to shooting.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 1996Date of Patent: October 5, 1999Assignee: Coffey Marketing CorporationInventors: Edward M. Jessee, B. Howard Coffey

Patent number: 5801131Abstract: The application of a nontoxic and biodegradable musical lubricant and/or cleaning composition to the moving parts of musical instruments used for reducing the friction between the contact surfaces of valve, slide and key elements of musical instruments. The musical instrument lubricant composition is especially useful for application to the parts of the musical instruments which may come into contact with the human body. The nontoxic musical instrument lubricant composition includes a nontoxic oil base such as vegetable oil, preferably corn oil or olive oil, and a nontoxic solvent such as ethanol, preferably ethyl alcohol, and/or a citrus solvent, such as a terpene compound, preferably limonene. The preferred embodiment also includes a terpene, preferably limonene, to provide a nontoxic flavoring and/or scenting agent to provide good wetting and film forming properties and a pleasant naturally occurring organoleptic fragrance and scent.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 1996Date of Patent: September 1, 1998Assignee: Coffey Marketing CorporationInventors: B. Howard Coffey, Gary L. Coffey

Patent number: 5749440Abstract: A portable arrow lubricant container-applicator system for use in connection with sport bow shooting where arrows are shot into simulated target figures and where it is necessary to quickly and efficiently remove the arrows from the target figure without damage to the arrow tip or shaft and to minimize damage to the target figure. A lubricant container-applicator is provided for holding an absorbent medium which receives a liquid medium to prevent loss and spillage of the lubricant from the lubricant container-applicator. A septum type lid may be provided to allow insertion and removal of the arrow tip and shaft into the lubricating medium and for providing an arrangement for coating the arrow tip and shaft with the desired amount of lubricant. An insertion limiting device can be provided to adjust the length of the extent of insertion of the arrow into the lubrication medium.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 1996Date of Patent: May 12, 1998Assignee: Coffey Marketing CorporationInventors: B. Howard Coffey, Gary L. Coffey

Patent number: 5691285Abstract: A nontoxic and biodegradable lubricant composition for use to reduce the friction between the contact surfaces of devices which come into contact with people and animals. The lubricant composition is especially useful for application to sports equipment which comes into contact with the human body. Another application concerns the use of the nontoxic lubricant composition in connection with food processing equipment which comes into direct contact with the food substrate. The nontoxic lubricant composition includes a nontoxic oil base such as vegetable oil, preferably corn oil or olive oil, and a nontoxic solvent such as ethanol, preferably ethyl alcohol, and/or a citrus solvent, such as a terpene compound, preferably limonene. The preferred embodiment also includes limonene as a nontoxic flavoring and/or scenting agent to provide good wetting and film forming properties and a pleasant naturally occurring organoleptic fragrance and scent.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 1995Date of Patent: November 25, 1997Assignee: Coffey Marketing CorporationInventors: Gary L. Patent number: 5445243Abstract: A portable lubricant system for use in connection with sport bow shooting where arrows are shot into simulated figures and where it is necessary to quickly and efficiently remove the arrows from the figure without damage to the arrow. A casing is provided and holds an absorbent medium which receives the liquid lubricant to prevent loss of the liquid from the casing. A septum type lid allows insertion and removal of the arrow into the medium and removal of the lubricated arrow for use and limiting devices can be provided to adjust the length of extent of insertion of the arrow into the enclosure.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1993Date of Patent: August 29, 1995Assignee: Coffey Marketing CorporationInventors: B. Patent number: 5253591Abstract: A propulsion and stabilization system for an inductive repulsion type magnetically levitated vehicle which is propelled and suspended by a system which includes dividing the superconducting magnets into two types: a strong field magnet which is located vertically below the vehicle for propulsion and guidance and a weak field superconducting magnet located at the ends of the vehicle for levitation and added guidance. Several proposed embodiments exist for the placement of the magnetic field shielding: locating the shielding on the vehicle, locating the shielding on the guideway, and locating the shielding on the guideway and adding shielding to the vertical undercarriage. In addition, the separation between the vehicle and the guideway can be controlled to reduce the exposure of the passenger cabin to magnetic fields.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 1992Date of Patent: October 19, 1993Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the United States Department of EnergyInventors: Donald M.
