  • Patent number: 8029244
Abstract: A by-pass fluid flow amplifier which contains a primary nozzle and a primary profile for discharging compressed air into a conduit of the air amplifier and entraining ambient air in the process. A secondary nozzle and a secondary profile for discharging compressed air into the conduit of the air amplifier towards the rear that assists the primary nozzle such as to allow consistent fluid wall attachment of the compressed air and the entrained air caused by the primary nozzle and the primary profile. The secondary nozzle increases the total flow of the amplifier and prohibits the total flow from traveling towards the center of the conduit where flow reversal and turbulence are likely to occur.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: October 4, 2011
Inventors: Elijah Dumas, Elisha Dumas, Howard Dumas
  • Patent number: 7654085
Abstract: A system of an internal combustion engine which is induced by an air flow amplifier via a turbine and centrifugal compressor, one side of which is mechanically and pneumatically connected to the turbine and the other side with an air intake of the internal combustion engine. The operation of the engine induction system can be enhanced by using an intercooler that supplies a cooled primary flow of compressed air to the air amplifier. The use of the engine induction system without a turbocharger and, hence, without hot exhaust gases, makes it possible to utilize light magnesium alloys for parts of the turbine and compressor and thus to reduce the weight of the system as a whole.

  • Patent number: 4087395
Abstract: Disclosed are novel water-insoluble, water-dispersible thermosettable cationic resins derived by reaction of a water-soluble aminopolyamide, a hydrophobizing compound such as a ketene dimer and an epihalohydrin such as epichlorohydrin. The thermosettable cationic resins are water-dispersible, and aqueous dispersions thereof are stable for prolonged periods of time at relatively high solids concentration. The thermosettable cationic resins have particular utility in the sizing of paper.
