  • Patent number: 9031803
Abstract: A waveform display method is disclosed. The method includes determining the narrowest pulse in a waveform for display and determining an available pixel width for displaying the narrowest pulse in a first display portion if the entire waveform is to be displayed in the first display portion. The pixel width is measure in terms of a number of pixels. The method further includes displaying the entire waveform or a portion thereof in the first display portion depending on the available pixel width. A signal measurement system that implements the method is also disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 26, 2008
Date of Patent: May 12, 2015
    Assignee: Keysight Technologies, Inc.
Inventors: Douglas James Beck, John Howard Friedman, Michael R. Fender, Takuya Furuta

  • Publication number: 20080189099
Abstract: A system for delivering customized audio content to customers. A central processing site (120) is coupled with content providers (110) through a network (142). The central processing consists of a number of components, namely content classification system (200), user preference management (400), content conversion system (500), content delivery system (600), and user authentication (300).

  • Publication number: 20040125139
Abstract: A logic analyzer integrates the capabilities of both textual and graphical description into a common environment, so that each can be used as needed, and in conjunction with the other. In an example embodiment a trigger specification can comprise many “steps”. A step can be conceptualized as an atomic segment of flow charting that involves or investigates a quantity or condition of interest. These steps may involve testing, and a decision concerning whether or not to trigger or whether or not to advance to a next step. A given step can be either textual or graphical. A GUT (Graphical User Interface, as in computer windows, and not to be confused with ‘graphical’ meaning ‘waveform-like’) on a CRT screen in conjunction with a pointing device (e.g., mouse) provides the presentation of the integrated textual and graphical (waveform-like) trigger specification steps.

  • Publication number: 20040017399
Abstract: Placement position errors for a selected marker within a logic analyzer trace are avoided by allowing the operator to click within the region occupied by a waveform of interest, detecting the subsequent direction of horizontal mouse motion and combining that with the marker's current location to determine which signal transition within that waveform of interest would be encountered next by the selected marker as it moves in the detected direction. The selected marker is then automatically placed at that location. A marker can be selected by clicking on its icon in advance, or automatically as part of the waveform selection by clicking sufficiently close to a cursor portion of the marker as it passes through the waveform. A number of further considerations come into play if such a system is to be convenient to use and intuitive.

  • Patent number: 4592415
Abstract: A flat, very thin fluid heat exchanger of up to about 1/8 inch in thickness is formed from a pair of etched blanks. The blanks are provided with at least a pair of projecting tabs for locating the blanks relative to each other. The tabs are secured prior to brazing of the blanks and are thereafter removed. Posts are provided for facilitating securance of the heat exchanger to objects with which it is to be associated. A thin fluid flow passageway is provided between the blanks, and the heat exchanger provides fluid flow inlet and outlet openings communicating with the fluid flow passageway.

  • Patent number: 3945826
Abstract: A method of chemical machining utilizing selective plating techniques to form a metal component from sheet metal sheets, in which each sheet is degreased, rinsed in deionized water, and thoroughly dried, then is coated with a positive photoresist. The photoresist is cured, and then the image of the component to be formed is photographically applied to either side of the sheet utilizing photomasks, the photographically exposed photoresist is removed from the sheet, and the sheet etched to provide the basic component configuration. Selective plating is effected by further photographically exposing the photoresist of the sheet that overlies the portions of the sheet to be plated, by utilizing photomasks delineating the areas to be plated, after which the freshly exposed photoresist is removed, the sheet baked to better condition the resist for plating, and then suitably electroplating the areas of the sheet metal thus exposed. After plating, the completed component is soaked in acetone to remove the resist.
