  • Patent number: 8992032
Abstract: A Newtonian telescope secondary mirror mount which includes means for attaching a Newtonian telescope secondary mirror to the secondary mirror mount. The attachment means will define a secondary mirror plane. The mount also includes first and second means for adjusting the angular alignment of the secondary mirror plane. The first adjustment means defines a first adjustment axis and the second adjustment means defines a second adjustment axis. In all embodiments both the first and second axes of angular orientation adjustment are substantially parallel to the secondary mirror plane. Methods of adjusting the angular alignment of a Newtonian telescope secondary mirror are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8023210
Abstract: An optical accessory holder such as an adapter or a focuser drawtube having a passageway through the holder body defining a lengthwise central axis through the passageway. The holder body has an inner surface which includes two substantially linear inner edges parallel to the lengthwise central axis. The inner edges are fixed with respect to the holder body. The holder also includes a clamping member opposite the two inner edges which may be moved with respect to the holder body toward the two inner edges. The holder body may have a partially cylindrical exterior surface. The holder body may also include two substantially linear exterior edges parallel to the lengthwise central axis.

  • Publication number: 20070263284
Abstract: An accessory device used together with a telescope laser collimator to align the primary mirrors of Newtonian telescopes and single mirror prime focus telescopes. An internal lens diverges the laser collimator beam and projects it upon the primary mirror collimation mark. A shadow of the mark is projected back to the screen on the device, and the mirror is aligned by adjusting it to center the shadow on the device screen.

  • Patent number: 4459645
Abstract: An illuminating earring includes a light-emitting diode (LED) mounted on a base. A battery-containing case is electrically and mechanically connected to the base through a hollow shaft and conductor coaxial arrangement dimensioned to pass through a hole in a pierced ear so that current flow between the LED and the batteries takes place only through the hole in the ear when the earring is worn and operational.
