Patent number: 5979136Abstract: A structural member having an elongated front panel with lateral ends. Side panels extend generally perpendicularly from the front panel at the lateral ends. Each of the side panels has a generally Z-shaped portion therein with a flange at the end of each side panel having a portion thereof extending in the same direction and generally parallel to the front panel. Each of the flanges have another portion generally parallel to the adjacent side panel, so that adjacent cooperating structural members are nestable with each other at the Z-shaped portions thereof with the flanges of nested side panels cooperating to form an interlocking construction. Reinforcing members are provided at the top and bottom of a plurality of nested structural panels, along with top and bottom plates.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 1997Date of Patent: November 9, 1999Inventor: Howard J. Patent number: 4491226Abstract: A display stand having two pair of uprights with each upright having an inwardly facing flat face portion. Horizontal beams connect each pair of uprights with each beam having an upstanding tab extending from near each end thereof defining a space between the tab and the adjacent flat face of the associated upright. A display shelf has integral mounting means extending perpendicularly from the shelf in registry with each upright and having an arcuate lip portion adjacent each upright with a slot therein. There is a slot in the shelf in vertical alignment with each slot in the mounting means, and each slot is sized snugly to receive the associated upstanding tab on said horizontal beams. Also disclosed is an extension shelf slideable with respect to the main shelf with detent latching means preventing disengagement of the shelf extension.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 1982Date of Patent: January 1, 1985Inventor: Howard J. Marschak

Patent number: 4359947Abstract: A shelving assembly particularly useful for displaying or storing merchandise in commercial establishments in any of several ways tailored to meet the needs of that establishment. The components are capable of being combined to produce an assembly with any selected number of inclined shelves where automatic forward gravity feed of the articles to be supported upon said shelves is desired. Alternatively, the same components may be assembled to provide a unit having any desired number of horizontal shelves. Again, depending on the needs of the user, such shelves may be oriented so that protective rims extend about their horizontal top surfaces, or they may be oriented so that no such rims are provided.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 1980Date of Patent: November 23, 1982Inventor: Howard J. Marschak

Patent number: 4344540Abstract: A display unit used with an apertured support for displaying a plurality of elongated objects such as fan belts comprising a plurality of open-ended vertically spaced-apart sleeves each connected to the apertured support by two brackets. Each of the brackets is a one-piece wire having two free ends thereof formed into vertically spaced-apart engagement prongs for extending through apertures in the apertured support, the end of the bracket away from the prongs being a closed end constructed to support a sleeve thereon and lying in a plane parallel to the apertured support when the bracket is mounted thereon. The closed end of the bracket is connected to the engagement prongs by two legs respectively extending therebetween, each of the legs having a bracing portion thereof parallel to the closed end and proximate the apertured support when the bracket is mounted for use.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 1981Date of Patent: August 17, 1982Inventor: Howard J. Marschak

Patent number: 4155459Abstract: A display unit used with an aperture board for displaying a plurality of cylindrical objects in which four fixtures each having engagement prongs which space the fixture from the associated apertured board are used to mount spaced apart container sections. Each container section has two horizontal pairs of spaced apart channels which are tapered, thereby permitting sliding engagement of the container section with the fixture. The constructed display unit slopes downwardly at an angle of about 10.degree. to about 12.degree. from a line extending normal to the apertured board providing gravity feed of the displayed merchandise.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 1977Date of Patent: May 22, 1979Assignee: Stor-Rite Metal Products, Inc.Inventor: Howard J. Patent number: 3970199Abstract: A display rack so constructed that it may be shipped disassembled and may be readily assembled and interlocked without the use of any tools, bolts, nuts, or extraneous fastening elements. The display rack includes a plurality of shelves or trays each having spaced tracks for supporting a plurality of containers in each track. The shelves or trays are detachably connected to form a tier of such shelves or trays by spacer members which are detachably secured in bores formed in the corners of the trays or shelves. The assembled tier of trays or shelves is detachably supported on an inclined base which supports the tier of trays or shelves in a downwardly and forwardly sloping position so that the containers or cans on the trays or shelves slide forwardly as the foremost can or container is removed by the purchaser. While it is preferred that the tier of trays or shelves be inclined, the same may be formed to provide a horizontal support so that the trays or shelves are in a horizontal position.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 1975Date of Patent: July 20, 1976Inventor: Howard J.
