  • Leak detection system and check valve for use therein

    Abstract: The leak detection system includes a leak detection sensor for sensing the pressure of fluid product in a supply line and holding the flow rate of the fluid through the supply line to a value below a maximum when the sensed pressure is below a predetermined value. The sensor is connected to the supply line in proximity to a pump. A pressure responsive valve is connected in the supply line between the sensor and a dispensing nozzle for sensing pressure and stopping the flow of fluid product through the line when the pressure is below a minimum value. The pressure responsive valve allows the line pressure to build to a value sufficient to allow the sensor to complete its sensing cycle and permit full fluid flow.
