  • Patent number: 7261863
Abstract: A closed loop continuous emulsion polymerization apparatus at least comprising a circulation pump, a reactor tube which connects the outlet of the circulation pump to its inlet, at least one feed for supplying raw materials, an outlet, and means for cooling the tube, characterized in that the reactor further comprises an additional tube for by-passing a pig around the circulation pump, a pig receiving station which is in parallel connection with the circulation pump or the reactor tube, and optionally means for directing a pig into the pig receiving station. The invention allows simple removal of the pig from the reactor, afforts great freedom in selecting the type of circulation pump and material and shape of the pig, and enables total control over the launching of the pig substantially independent of the reaction medium flow.

  • Publication number: 20060259392
Abstract: An electronic inspection report system includes a central report generator and a data collection device. The central report generator is adapted to produce multiple types of inspection report template. The central report generator is adapted to select a type of inspection report template to provide to a data collection device based upon various criteria. The central report generator is adapted to receive electronic information from various databases and format the information such that the information can be used in inspection reports. While inspecting an item, an inspector uses a data collection device to access an inspection report template and fill in fields of the inspection report template. The data collection device can be configured to check the consistency of information carried in fields of the inspection report and signal the inspector when some of the information is inconsistent. The central report generator can include a repository of completed inspection reports.

  • Patent number: 6431825
Abstract: A seal between two static turbine parts is provided with a carrier piece comprising a flat metal piece with a middle piece and end pieces each of which is arranged in a groove in the static turbine parts. A second part comprising a flat metal piece and having a middle piece and end pieces which are also arranged in grooves is attached to the middle piece of the carrier. The end pieces are constructed resiliently, ensuring a sealing contact between the end pieces and the inside surfaces of the grooves even in the case of a relative shift of the grooves. The seal does not depend on the level of a pressure differential.
