Abstract: A method of producing a kaleidoscope image which is usable in a scrapbook. The method includes the steps of providing a first display area for displaying an image; providing a window which is movable by a user relative to the image displayed in the first display area to produce a windowed image comprised of a portion of the image; and simultaneously displaying, in a second display area adjacent the first display area, the kaleidoscope image having a symmetrical design produced by arranging a series of the windowed image displayed in the first display area.

Abstract: A method of generating a multimedia disc. The method includes the steps of: accessing a plurality of digital still images; generating a single MPEG bitstream comprising at least one of the plurality of digital still images; accessing the at least one of the plurality of digital still images; creating a description file defining a file structure comprising the MPEG bitstream and the at least one of the plurality of digital still images; interpreting the description file to generate a disc image of the multimedia disc; and generating the multimedia disc using the disc image.

Abstract: A method for automatically outputting an image by a user, while working in an operating system running on a computer is disclosed comprising the steps of: selecting at least one image provided in a display device that is being driven by the operating system in the computer; selecting an output of the at least one image from a menu that is brought up by the first software program; and automatically outputting the at least one image to the selected output in accordance with the requirements for the selected output without any further user involvement or opening up of any other program by the user.

Abstract: A computer software product and system for advertising business, products and services. The computer software product comprises a computer readable storage medium having a computer program which when loaded into a computer causes computer to locate and selecting at least one digital image provided in said storage medium and incorporate the image in a game. The software may automatically displaying a prestored sponsor message upon playing or completion of said game. The computer software may be part of system for managing a contest for a plurality of different sponsors. A host server accessible by a communication network is provided with a computer software program for providing contest information on behalf of a plurality of sponsors to a plurality of consumers. The software keeps track of the number of times contest information is provided on behalf of one of the sponsors and allocating a cost to each of said sponsors.
