    Abstract: Sensors on an aerial lift device determine the number of occupants in and occupant portion of the aerial lift device. Prior to permitting the occupant portion to rise up off the ground, the system checks the engagement of safety harnesses to verify that the number of engaged safety harnesses matches the number of occupants in the occupant portion of the aerial lift. If the number matches, operation of the aerial lift may be enabled and the occupant portion deployed. If the number does not match, an alarm is sounded and deployment of the occupant portion may be disabled. With pre-deployment safety testing, and no occupants in the occupant portion, the occupant portion may be deployed to verify all operational status of the occupant portion with no occupants. The system may further create a data log to verify the time and successful pre-deployment safety check.

    Abstract: An analog to digital conversion circuit includes an analog to digital converter (ADC) circuit operable to convert an analog signal having an oscillation frequency into a first digital signal having a first data rate frequency. The analog signal includes a set of pure tone components. The first digital signal includes n 1-bit channels. The analog to digital conversion circuit further includes a digital decimation filtering circuit including n anti-aliasing filters operable to sample and filter the n 1-bit channels of the first digital signal to produce n second digital signals and n decimator circuits operable to decimate the n second digital signals to produce n third digital signals at a second data rate frequency. The analog to digital conversion circuit further includes a multiplexor operable to output the n third digital signals at the second data rate frequency on a single bus.

The subject technology accesses an index of activities. A score is then determined for each particular activity in the index of activities. The score is based on plurality of signals associated with user-specific parameters and global parameters to determine the quantitative importance of a particular activity. The subject technology identifies a subset of activities within the index of activities using the activity assistant processing system in which the subset includes at least one activity with a corresponding score that is greater than or equal to a decision threshold for the at least one activity. At least a portion of the subset of activities is then ranked based on the quantitative importance of the particular activity using the activity assistant processing system.
