  • Publication number: 20050256856
Abstract: A method of presenting stimuli and collecting rating data for understanding human behavior across a plurality of available topics.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 2, 2005
    Publication date: November 17, 2005
Inventors: Howard Moskowitz, Jacqueline Beckley, Hollis Ashman
  • Publication number: 20050177388
Abstract: In a system and method for conjoint analysis, corresponding utility values are determined for a plurality of individual concept elements and for combinations of multiple concept elements, e.g., pair wise combinations of concept elements. A regression technique, e.g., least squares linear regression, may be used to determine the utility values.

  • Patent number: 6662215
Abstract: A communication method for communication between a user computing device and a first server arrangement includes the steps of: transmitting a communication, which includes data representing a characteristic of the user of the user computing device, from the first server arrangement to a second server arrangement; selecting a population segment in accordance with the user characteristic; determining a content in accordance with the user characteristic; transmitting a first response, which includes data representing the determined content, from the second server arrangement to the first server arrangement; and transmitting a second response, which includes at least the determined content, from the first server arrangement to the user computing device. The content corresponds to a plurality of concept elements. The method may be embodied in a computer-readable storing medium or in a computer system.

  • Patent number: 4350337
Abstract: An energy saving arrangement in which motors performing mechanical work in automatic pin spotters are disconnected from power lines when a bowling play is discontinued after a predetermined time interval. A time delay relay is repeatedly actuated by a circuit connected to the rake latching bar. The time delay relay maintains a control relay energized provided that the rake latching bar actuates the circuit to the time delay relay within a predetermined time interval. If no such actuation takes place, then the control relay is released and the power motor for the pin spotter is switched off. The motor controlling the speed of the ball toward the bowler is similarly switched off after a predetermined time delay from the instant that the ball actuates a switch on its way back to the bowler or after a predetermined time delay after the rake latching bar is released. A capacitor bank is provided, furthermore, to correct the power factor of the energy applied to the motor and thereby results in energy savings.
