  • Patent number: 7445131
Abstract: The invention includes a method of using a cap containing an internal thread form matching an external thread form on a flexible throat for a collapsible tube enclosing at least one contained product. Twisting the cap engages the internal thread form and the external thread form. These collectively urge the cap and the flexible throat to seal the contained product into the collapsible tube. Deforming the flexible throat through squeezing the collapsible tube dispenses essentially all the product. The collapsible tube may preferably include an external thread form on a flexible throat coupled to a flexible shoulder. The external thread form mates to a cap with an internal thread form urging the flexible throat to seal against the cap when the cap is twisted onto the flexible throat. The flexible throat and flexible shoulder flatten to dispense essentially all of the product.

  • Patent number: 6126353
Abstract: A loose leaf binder includes a first half binder section having a plurality of curled fingers spaced regularly apart and a second half binder section having a corresponding plurality of correspondingly spaced curled fingers. Each of the first and second half binder sections include a plurality of protruding tabs and a plurality of tab openings, each of the plurality of protruding tabs of the first half binder section being capable of mating with a corresponding one of the plurality of tab openings of the second half binder section. When the first half binder section is mated with the second half binder section, the protruding tabs of both the first and second half binder sections snap-fit with corresponding tab openings of both the first and second half binder sections to form the loose leaf binder and to cause the curled fingers of the first and second half binder sections to overlap. The first half binder section may be identical to the second half binder section.

  • Patent number: 5782569
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a single piece molded locking snap ring assembly for use in holding looseleaf sheets together as in a two or three-ring binder. The assembly is a one-piece molded construction including an elongated longitudinal base section having upright retaining levers at each end, extending between two pivotally opposed ring support sections. Integral reduced cross section living hinge sections joining the base and ring sections and provide pivotal connection therein. The ring sections carry opposed ring segments for movement toward and away from one another into closed and open positions respectively. Integrally molded locking arms mounted at each end of the ring support sections carry free ends having oblique surfaces for contacting and pushing respective levers outward and projecting ledges having latching surfaces for latching with central channels defined in the levers.

  • Patent number: 5425592
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a hinge binder device for retaining paper goods and the like. The device includes an anchoring member having leg portions for retaining the goods and a locking member for releaseably locking the leg portions. The locking member includes a support member, a wing member, and a hinge for pivotally connecting the support and wing members. Additionally, the locking member includes a release for releaseably locking the support and wing members. The leg portions are adapted for compatible fit between the wing and support members, and in one embodiment include molded teeth which engage mating teeth on the support and wing members for a secure fit. In a preferred embodiment, the anchoring member includes a plurality of leg portions for use with multi-hole punched paper goods. The locking member includes a plurality of corresponding wing members hinged to the support member for locking the leg portions.
