  • Publication number: 20180082203
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide detection of operator likelihood of deviation from a planned route. In embodiments, a route is planned on an electronic navigation system. Vehicle and/or operator parameters are monitored, and a likelihood of deviation from the route is detected. Upon detecting a likely upcoming deviation, an alert is provided to the user so that corrective action can be taken before missing a waypoint of the route.

  • Patent number: 9794153
Abstract: Approaches are provided for determining a risk level for server health check processing. An approach includes creating statistical process control analyzes for each of one or more servers on a network by calculating performance parameters for each of one or more servers based on historical values for one or more key process indicators of server health or vulnerability. The approach further includes collecting new values for each of the one or more key process indicators, detecting significant changes of the mean or variation in each of the one or more key process indicators, and determining a risk level for each of the one or more servers based on a number of the significant changes of the mean or variation. The approach further includes providing a health check recommendation for each of the one or more servers based on the risk level determined for each of the one or more servers.

  • Publication number: 20100287010
Abstract: System, method and program product for prioritizing a multiplicity of management services which support physical disaster recovery operations. Criticality of each of the management services is determined. An urgency of recovery of each of the management services is determined. Respective numbers of services which support or depend on each of the management services is determined. A priority to perform each of the management services based on (a) the criticality of each management service, urgency of each management service and number of services which support or depend on each management service is determined. In one example, the priority to perform each management service is based on the criticality multiplied times the urgency multiplied times the number of services which support or depend on each management service.

  • Publication number: 20090089057
Abstract: A system and method of improving language skills and, more particularly, a spoken language grammar improvement tool and method of use is provided. The method includes monitoring and analyzing a user's speech pattern; matching a stored undesirable phrase and/or word with the user's speech pattern; and providing feedback to the user when a match is found between the stored undesirable phrase and/or word and the user's speech pattern. A system for monitoring spoken language includes a computer infrastructure being operable to: detect a user's speech pattern; compare the user's speech pattern with stored undesirable words and/or phrases; and provide a notification type to a user that the user's speech pattern matches with at least one of the stored words and/or phrases.

  • Publication number: 20080252444
Abstract: A portable communication device/system for use with a vehicle includes a monitoring device having a motion sensor and a proximity sensor. The monitoring device initiates a signal upon the occurrence of a vehicular event such as the breaching of the perimeter specified by the proximity sensor or an abrupt motion detected by the motion sensor. A transmitting device transmits the signal to a remote receiving device to communicate the vehicular event to, for example, emergency personnel.
