Abstract: A handheld weeding tool with a slidably mounted fulcrum which leverages the force of prying a weed from the ground. During use, the fulcrum becomes locked into a working position. In some embodiments a compression spring holds the fulcrum in a fixed position on the weeder's shaft.

Abstract: An improved, spring biased auxiliary handle for a shovel that is based on an elongated flat spring is presented. It will reduce back pain strain and injury, cardiovascular strain, fatigue and shoveling time, relative to the same task performed without the assistance of said device.

Abstract: A flexible, annular band of variable diameter keeps a yard bag open and properly oriented for use in receiving debris and manipulating the bag. The flexible, annular band may be locked to a fixed or variable diameter to fit the opening of common yard bags. By contracting the band, it can be placed inside the opening of the bag, expanded to the bag's diameter, and then locked to hold the bag open to receive yard debris. When the bag is full, the flexible annular band is unlocked and contracted for removal.

Abstract: An auxiliary handle for assembly to a main shaft of a snow shovel is provided. The auxiliary handle includes an elongated auxiliary shaft and a fixture that connects the auxiliary shaft to the main shaft of the shovel. The fixture includes a housing that is pivotally mounted to the auxiliary shaft. A pin connects the housing to the main shaft allowing pivotal movement of the auxiliary shaft relative to the main shaft. A two-stage spring interposed between the shafts regulates the pivotal movement of the auxiliary shaft. The auxiliary shaft is slidably mounted and guided in the fixture, which permits longitudinal displacement of the auxiliary shaft relative to the main shaft, but prevents rotation of the auxiliary shaft about its axis. A lock regulates the longitudinal movement of the auxiliary shaft and simultaneously locks the auxiliary shaft to the bracket thereby preventing further pivotal movement of the auxiliary shaft.
