  • Publication number: 20150160256
Abstract: A motion measurement system for measuring changes in the motion of the body of an animal. An animal instrumentation assembly of the motion measurement system has a plurality of motion measurement sensors that are operatively coupled to a selected portion of the body of an animal. The motion measurement sensors produce measurement signals indicative of the change in the motion of the animal, and these measurement signals are transmitted to a processor of the animal instrumentation assembly. A wireless transmitter transmits wireless signals corresponding to the measurement signals, and these wireless signals are received by a computing assembly. A processor of the computing assembly converts the wireless signals into corresponding animal data elements, which are stored in a memory. The computing assembly can be positioned in wireless communication with remote computing devices to permit distribution of the animal data elements.

  • Patent number: 8807606
Abstract: An electrically powered lock, e.g. an electric strike, includes a housing and a latch mounted with respect to the housing so as to be pivotable about a latch axis between an open position and a locking position. The latch has a latch face and a segment that projects laterally of both the latch axis and the latch face. A locking element is mounted for rotation about a lock axis normal to but offset from the latch axis for selectively blocking the laterally projecting segment to hold the latch in the locking position or allowing the latch to move to the open position to thereby place the lock respectively in a locked condition or an unlocked condition. An electrically powered driver is disposed within the housing laterally of the latch axis actuable in a direction generally parallel to the latch axis for effecting rotation of the locking element.

  • Publication number: 20130204462
Abstract: A method for powering down a autonomous power unit includes a spark ignition engine power source having an associated power source actuating system and a power output, comprises a regulator associated with the power source. The regulator comprises a deactivator actuatingly linked to the power source actuating system and having a base and secondary configurations wherein the base configuration allows the rated power output by the power source and the secondary configurations allow a progressively reduced secondary rate of power output by the power source and wherein the secondary rates are less than the base rate. The apparatus further comprises a controller remote from the regulator, for transmitting a control signal to the regulator. The deactivator is actuable in response to the control signal to activate either the base rate configuration or one of the secondary configurations to control thereby regulating the power source.
