Abstract: A cooking range, specially for stir-fry cooking, characterized by an imperforate work top through which a chimney-like burner collar opens and which is covered and closed by a frying pan placed thereupon, with a lateral opening through said collar and discharging beneath the work top for lateral induction of the flame products of combustion to exhaust through a remote flue, preferably embodied is a stepped work top with pairs of tiered burner collars, whereby a multiplicity of frying pans are simultaneously employed.

Abstract: An oven having at least one and preferably upper and lower burner radiants protected from food splatterings and drippings by transparent tiles coextensive with and separating the burner radiants from the oven chamber, the transparent tiles being of heat resistant material and spaced from the plane of the burner radiants to define a combustion plenum separate from the over chamber, all of which is vented through a flue, the food or the like being spaced within the over chamber on a rack for over and under, or surrounding, subjection to radiant heat in the infra-red range.

Abstract: A gas stove burner-combustion chamber, the burner supplied with gas and with primary air from a primary intake plenum and disposed at the top of a secondary intake plenum having opposite side baffles closely spaced from the burner, divergent radiants extending upward from the baffles and sealed at the underside of a griddle plate and thereby forming an isolated combustion chamber open to a flue, and there being a plurality of said burner-combustion chambers arranged adjacently parallel with space therebetween occluded beneath the griddle plate, the burners being individually controlled for temperature variation at different areas of the griddle plate.

Abstract: A secondary oven heated by restricted heat transfer from a primary oven through a common pan-roof tempered by convention flow of ambient outside air adjustably mixed with primary oven vent air controlled by a damper diverting a portion of primary oven vent air through the secondary oven with the balance thereof discharged externally.
