  • Patent number: 11935151
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to a graphics processing system that includes one or more integrated graphics systems and one or more discrete graphics systems. In some examples, an operating system (OS) or other software supports switching between image display data being provided from either an integrated graphics system or a discrete graphics system by configuring a multiplexer at runtime to output image data to a display. In some examples, a multiplexer is not used and interface supported messages are used to transfer image data from an integrated graphics system to a discrete graphics system and the discrete graphics system generates and outputs image data to a display. In some examples, interface supported messages are used to transfer image data from a discrete graphics system to an integrated graphics system and the integrated graphics system uses an overlay process to generate a composite image for output to a display.

  • Patent number: 11180716
Abstract: A cleaning formulation has from 10 to 99 wt % water, from 0.8 to 40 wt % surfactant, optionally other additives, and from 0.2 to 20 wt % of a solvent additive of formula (I): R1—O-(AO)n—C(?O)—R2??(I) where R1 is C3 to C12 alkyl, AO is an alkylene oxide group selected from an ethylene oxide group, a propylene oxide group and a butylene oxide group. At least one AO group in the solvent additive is an ethylene oxide group. The solvent additive has a water solubility of less than 1 wt % in deionised water at 20° C. and the surfactant enables the solvent additive to dissolve and/or disperse in the cleaning formulation. In a method of cleaning an oily or waxy soil from a hard surface, the solvent additive is applied to the hard surface and optionally rinsed with water. The solvent additive is used in a cleaning formulation to improve the percentage soil removal.

  • Patent number: 10942163
Abstract: Devices for micro-fluid mixing micro-fluids are presented, together with example methods for micro-mixing using example devices. An example device may include a micro-volume fluid chamber (?VFC), a micro-volume mixing chamber (?VMC), and a source of a target micro fluid. The ?VFC may include two slidably-mounted piston segments that divide the ?VFC into three sub-volumes, one of which initially contains a mixer micro-fluid. The source of the target micro fluid may be triggered to deliver the target micro-fluid into another of the sub-volumes via an inlet channel. A propellant may be triggered to drive axial motion of the piston segments, causing the sub-volumes to compress. Through this action, the mixer micro-fluid may be expelled via a first outlet channel into the ?VMC, and the target micro-fluid may be expelled via a second outlet channel into the ?VMC. As the piston segments move, they block and unblock the inlet and outlet channels.

  • Publication number: 20210065206
Abstract: A method of analyzing a specific medical treatment provides efficient and effective statistical results to be included in a preponderance of evidence and/or affidavit of merit for any allegation of negligence. Following standards of care, the method creates a hypothetical treatment and determines an associated background risk of adverse outcome thereof. The method subdivides both the hypothetical treatment and the specific treatment into individual phases. By comparing the specific treatment with the hypothetical treatment in each phase, the method generates the relative risks for the phases of the specific treatment and groups them into a sample. Conducting a Student t-test with a predetermined level of confidence, the method tests a null hypothesis that the risk of an adverse outcome for the specific treatment is not significantly different from the hypothetical treatment, thus the specific treatment conforms to the standards of care. This method can help make medicine great again.

  • Publication number: 20200367812
Abstract: Devices are provided to automatically inject drugs or other payloads into or beneath skin. These devices include an injector configured to drive a hollow needle into the skin and subsequently to deliver the payload through the hollow needle. Applied suction acts to draw blood from the puncture formed in the skin through the hollow needle, into the device, and to a sensor, blood storage element, or other payload. In some examples, the blood is drawn through the hollow needle when the hollow needle is penetrating the skin. In some examples, these devices are additionally configured to retract the hollow needle from the skin and/or to perform some other functions. These devices can be wearable and configured to automatically access blood or deliver a payload into skin, for example, to operate at one or more points in time while a wearer of a device is sleeping.
