  • Publication number: 20230287238
Abstract: This invention provides methods for coating food and beverage containers using polymers which are preferably polyether polymers. The invention further provides liquid and powder coating compositions including such polymers and which have utility in a variety of other coating end uses, including, for example, valve and pipe coatings.

  • Publication number: 20220095638
Abstract: Methods and systems for selectively applying a treatment to a plant item is provided. The method may include conveying, in an industrial processing line, at least one plant item in the batch of plant items to a sensing region having one or more sensors, assessing, with the one or more sensors and a computing device, one or more properties of the at least one plant item associated with ripeness and/or another attribute, conveying the at least one plant item to a treatment region, determining a treatment to apply to the at least one plant item based on the assessed one or more properties; and applying, in the treatment region, the treatment to the at least one plant item.

  • Publication number: 20180142103
Abstract: The present invention provides a water-based coating system that can be used to form durable, abrasion resistant, corrosion resistant, protective barriers on a wide range of substrates. The coating system is particularly effective for protecting metal-containing substrates, such as intermodal cargo containers, against corrosion. As an overview, the present invention provides water-based primer compositions suitable to form primer coats and topcoats on substrates. Desirably, the primer incorporates one or more chlorinated resins for excellent corrosion protection. These polymers not only provide excellent corrosion protection and but also show excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrate materials. The system also includes topcoat compositions enhance compatibility and adhesion to the primer and to provide enhanced application.
