The low-profile storage cart system including a securement mechanism having a proximate end and a distal end. The securement mechanism is made of at least one rail, at least one rolling surface disposed the rail, at least one guide surface disposed adjacent to the rolling surface, and at least one stop disposed on the rolling surface. The low-profile storage cart may also include a carrying surface, at least one wheel configured to engage the securement mechanism, and a control arm disposed perpendicular to the carrying surface.
