In some embodiments, a processor may receive one or more performance parameters for determining a performance of an asset at one or more future times are received from one or more parties. The processor may receive a request to generate indicia of a financial instrument. The financial instrument may comprise a funding instrument that specifies rights and obligations of at least a first party and a second party respecting a funding contribution from the first party for funding an asset owned at least in part by the second party. The processor may determine a plurality of possible measurements of a future performance of the asset based at least in part on the received performance parameters. The processor may determine a conversion schedule for converting at least a portion of the first user's rights in the financial instrument into an equity component of the asset.

A processor of the system communicatively coupled to the memory may receive from a counterparty trader a counterorder for the trading product. The processor may use the counterorder to fill the display portions respectively of the first and second trading orders. After filling the display portion of the second trading order, the processor may exclusively offer at least a portion of the counterorder to the first trader for a configurable period of time.

Abstract: Systems and methods for improving the liquidity and distribution network for luxury and other illiquid items are provided. These systems and methods preferably include the trading of futures and options contracts, which will provide the liquidity and distribution network for luxury items. Possible embodiments of these systems and methods include the trading of futures and options contracts for diamonds and wine. Another embodiment of this invention preferably includes generating indexes for diamond prices, wine prices, luxury item prices, housing values, mortgage prepayments, privately-held companies or for anything with from sufficiently liquid points of value. Another embodiment of this invention preferably includes a centralized data base for retrieving closing and current auction prices for determining the value of, and best method for the auctioning of various items. The data provided by this data base would improve liquidity by creating greater price transparency.

Abstract: Systems and methods for real-time interactive wagering on event outcomes are presented. Clients are first qualified and given wagering limits before being allowed to interactively wager on event outcomes. Event outcomes may be based on, for example, financial markets and indices, sporting and entertainment events, casino games, casino performances, and natural phenomena such as weather and earthquakes. Events on which wagers can be placed include both those with known and unknown outcome probabilities, and wagers can be a fixed-odds type or a spread-bet type. Wager transactions, including acceptances and confirmations, are executed in real time. Clients can customize displays of events on which they are authorized to wager. Real-time client credit management, automatic dealer hedging, automatic price-spread adjustments, and automatic client and dealer defined wagering limits are also provided.

Abstract: Products and processes are provided herewith for analyzing octane content in a fuel sample that include the step or steps of receiving an octane measurement of a fuel sample from an octane analyzer, rounding the octane measurement to a nearest recognized octane rating, comparing the rounded octane measurement with a listed octane rating for the fuel sample, and communicating results of the comparison to a user of the octane analyzer. The octane analyzer may be incorporated into a fuel pump or a vehicle. The results of the comparison may also be used to adjust the vehicle operating parameters to account for the actual octane rating of the fuel dispensed into the vehicle.

Abstract: A computer-based transaction system manages representations of a plurality of positions in a first type of financial instrument, such as bond future contracts. The transaction system, at a first predetermined time, converts each position in the first type of financial instrument into a corresponding position in a second type of financial instrument, such as bonds. At a second predetermined time that is after the first predetermined time, the transaction system converts each position in the second type of financial instrument into a position in the first type of financial instrument.
