  • Patent number: 6716348
Abstract: This invention relates to a liquid filter which includes a housing and a rotatable lid for covering the opening in the filter housing. The housing incorporates the inlet port and the outlet port for the filter. The lid is secured to the housing by rotating movement in which cam followers carried by the lid engage cam members carried by the housing to cause the lid to be cammed downwardly upon the housing. As the lid is drawn down onto the housing, an annular seal carried by the lid engages the inner surface of the housing to form a seal between the lid and the housing, covering a side opening in the housing.

  • Patent number: 5148938
Abstract: A pressure vessel arrangement including a lid with shiftable lock arms and a vent combination operating simultaneously. The lock arms passing through openings in the vessel housing sidewall when the lid is in the closed position. As the lock arms are shifted into a locked position a vent shaft into the vessel housing is sealed for pressurization of the vessel. Upon opening, the vent shaft is unsealed prior to disengagement of the lock arms to vent any residual pressure is the vessel safely.

  • Patent number: 5137632
Abstract: A filter bag which is for use in a liquid filter and which includes a liquid impervious shape-retaining edge portion defining the opening into the filter bag. The edge portion includes an annular inverted V-shaped part which terminates in an annular upturned lip part. The inverted V-shaped part of the filter bag edge portion allows the bag to be placed over a protruding upwardly directed lip in the filter housing while, optionally, the upturned lip part of the bag's edge portion permits the bag to be fitted into the filter housing with the lip part being restrictively fitted between a shoulder or support and an overlying lip formed in the filter housing. Further, the upturned lip part of the filter bag can be wedged into a filter housing to secure the bag independently of the filter top.

  • Patent number: 4526689
Abstract: An in-line strainer for liquids including a housing having an inlet which enters the housing at its side wall and turns upwardly within the housing and is in liquid communication with an opening in an upper wall of the housing. Filtering elements are suspended from openings in the upper wall such that liquid exiting the inlet at the opening on the upper wall flows through the filtering elements and out of the housing through an outlet in the housing side wall oppositely located from the filter inlet in the housing.
