  • Patent number: 10724831
Abstract: A system and process for interfering with the flight of one or more unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) includes aiming a deployment device in a direction of the one or more UAVs and deploying by the deployment device a package in the direction of the one or more UAVs. The package includes a fiber material consisting of multiple individual fibers formed of one or more biodegradable materials. When the fiber material is released from the package after deployment, it forms a cloud of multiple individual fibers and the cloud of multiple individual fibers physically interferes with a propeller system of the one or more UAVs, thus causing the one or more UAVs to lose the ability to remain aloft.

  • Publication number: 20090276333
Abstract: An improved system and method for submitting, distributing and/or managing digital products with respect to a product distribution site are disclosed. The submission of digital products to the product distribution site is able to be performed by numerous submitters in a uniform and computer-assisted manner. The submitted digital products can then be managed in a largely automated manner and made available for online purchase and distribution at the product distribution site. Once a digital product is submitted, the user can access the status of the digital product submission to obtain information of whether the digital product has been approved or rejected. In one embodiment, the digital products are computer program products (e.g., computer software programs).

  • Patent number: 6051267
Abstract: A chocolate or other fat-containing confectionery material is fed into and extruded from a screw extruder and the temperature of the extruder barrel wall and screw are controlled so that the material advanced through the extruder and the product from the die are non-pourable and so that the product is plastically deformable for a period of time, and in particular, the screw and barrel wall temperatures are controlled so that the screw has a temperature higher than the barrel wall temperature. Additionally, the material may be advanced within an extruder barrel wall which is roughened and the diameter of the screw root may increase in and along the direction of material advanced in the extruder.

  • Patent number: 5441591
Abstract: A method of bonding silicon to sapphire may be performed at room temperature and with no greater pressure than that due to one wafer resting on another. The method comprises the steps of polishing one side of a flat sapphire wafer to a mirror-like surface; polishing one side of a flat silicon wafer to a mirror-like surface; cleaning the wafers and then stacking the wafers so that their corresponding mirror-like surfaces contact. The room temperature bonding that occurs is relatively strong, and the bonded wafers can be handled without danger of their becoming unbonded. If desired, the bonded wafers may be subjected to further processing to further strengthen their bond.
