Patent number: 11695777Abstract: Techniques for providing hybrid access control in a cloud-services computing environment are provided. In one embodiment, a method for providing hybrid access control is provided at a host computing device. The method includes obtaining access control settings including at least a first user's role-based access settings with respect to a first sub-system of a hierarchical computing-resource system. The method further includes propagating the access control settings from the first sub-system to a second sub-system; obtaining user group domains assigned to a plurality of sub-systems; and obtaining a group membership associated with the first user. The method further includes determining, based on the obtained user group domains and the obtained group membership associated with the first user, whether the first user's role-based access settings propagated to the second sub-system are to be adjusted; and making adjustments accordingly.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2019Date of Patent: July 4, 2023Assignee: VMware, Inc.Inventors: Stanimir Lukanov, Georgi Lyubomirov Dimitrov, Hristo Hristov

Patent number: 11212778Abstract: A more efficient network can be achieved using channel allocation strategies within a wireless network. A network device can receive several data points from a mobile device including resource request data, access condition data, and location data. Once the network device has received the aforementioned data points, the network device can identify channels that are conducive to a heightened quality of service for a resource being requested based on a signal attenuation associated with the channel. The network device can then facilitate a channel selection in response to an assessment of the data points and identifying a channel for the resource.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 2020Date of Patent: December 28, 2021Assignees: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P., AT&T Mobility II LLCInventors: Kurt Huber, Jerome Hetrick, Thomas W. Henderson, Hristo Hristov

Patent number: 8203296Abstract: A 2-phase BLDC motor is driven by a trapezoidal waveform. For one-half of the motor rotation period T, the phase is driven by the trapezoidal waveform and for the other half-period, the coil remains undriven. An up down counter is operable to increment at a first frequency f1 and to decrement at a second frequency f2. Incrementing operation is initiated at the start of the driven period of the waveform and stopped at the start of the down slope of the waveform. Decrementing operation is initiated at the start of the down slope of the waveform and stopped at the end of the down slope. The ratio of frequencies f1:f2 is used to measure the relative duration of the slope to the driven period and is selected to mirror the desired ratio of slope duration:driven period duration.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2008Date of Patent: June 19, 2012Assignee: Melexis NVInventors: Hristo Hristov, Rumen Peev, Kalin Petrov
