  • Patent number: 8986790
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for preparing polyanilines by oxidative polymerization of aniline in an aqueous acid medium, comprising at least one synthesis step carried out in the presence of a) a monomer with formula (An) RmRo—C6H3—NHR? in which Ro, Rm and R? independently of each other, represent H or a linear or branched alkyl, alkoxy, alkylcarboxy or alkylsulfonic group, containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, b) an acid, c) an oxidizing agent and d) a salt, characterized in that the acid is formic acid. The PANI deposited and dried on a support provides films with 80% of crystalline phase, having a strong alignment of ?-? interactions parallel to the surface. The PANI and the films obtained may be used as semiconductors and/or conductors.
