Abstract: A portable notebook computer expansion adapter includes a flat base plate fitting over the notebook computer to be connected and having a plurality of expansion connectors on a bottom surface thereof for connecting a computer peripheral equipment to the notebook computer and a handle for carrying by hand; and a stop wall raised from the flat base plate at one side and stopped against said notebook computer in a flush manner, the stop wall having a mainframe connector connected to a respective connector on the notebook computer and an electric circuit connected to the expansion connectors of the flat base plate, and a through hole which receives the I/O connector of the notebook computer.

Abstract: An expansible notebook computer includes a mainframe unit, a display, and a keyboard unit, wherein the mainframe unit has a floppy diskdrive on the inside, a display connector connected to a mainframe connector on the display unit, a top recess, which receives the keyboard unit, a keyboard connector on the top recess electrically connected to a connector on the keyboard unit, a plurality of expansion cartridge connectors on a vertical front wall thereof for connecting an expansion cartridge, a plurality of mounting slots and a plurality of battery contacts on the vertical front wall above the expansion cartridge connectors for connecting a battery box, a hard diskdrive connector and an expansion box connector on a bottom wall thereof for connecting a hard diskdrive and an expansion box.

Abstract: A computer system including a floppy disk drive and expansion slot assembly detachably fastened to a recessed hole on a mainframe. The floppy disk drive and expansion slot assembly has a side rail engaged into a mounting groove on one vertical side wall of the recessed hole of the mainframe, two connectors electrically and respectively connected to two respective connectors on the mainframe, and a slot for inserting a floppy disk or an expansion card. The mainframe has a mounting board fitted into a bottom recessed hole on the floppy disk drive and expansion slot assembly, and two bolt controlled spring latches respectively engaged into respective lock holes on the floppy disk drive and expansion slot assembly to hold it in position.

Abstract: A detachable portable personal computer includes an upper unit pivotably electrically connected to a bottom unit. The upper unit includes a liquid crystal display, a motherboard, a printer interface, and RS-232 interface and cathod ray tube interface, an integrated circuit card, a mouse, a keyboard interface and a power supply unit. The bottom unit includes a keyboard, a power supply unit, a hard disk drive and a floppy disk drive. The top unit can be connected to the keyboard to form a word processor or, the top and bottom unit can be connected into a notebook computer, the top and bottom units can be detached from each other for use independently.

Abstract: A docking apparatus for connecting a portable computer to an expansion device, comprises an elongated flat bar having two unitary stop bars at two opposite ends thereof at right angles for holding a portable computer therebetween. The stop bars have dowels on back faces thereof respectively fastened in holes on an expansion device for positioning, the flat bar relative to the expansion device. The elongated flat bar has two output terminals on a back face thereof respectively connected to two input terminals on the expansion device, and a plurality of input terminals electrically connected to the output terminals for connecting the output terminals of a portable computer to the flat bar.

Abstract: A computer functional card connecting apparatus comprised of a base having two parallel channel frames at two opposite ends thereof at right angles, wherein the base has a step block longitudinally disposed at the top with pin holes formed thereon, an elongated groove longitudinally disposed on the bottom with vertical contact pins made thereon for connecting to a mother board, transverse contact pins on an inner side for electrically connecting a computer functional card that has been inserted in between the two parallel channel frames, and a circuit board set between the step block and the bottom groove for electrically connecting said transverse contact pins, the vertical contact pins and the pin holes.

Abstract: An office automation system flexibly set-up by piling up a variety of office automation units which have each a respective functional PC board set in an independent cartridge. The cartridge has a connector socket at the top and a connector plug at the bottom. By connecting the connector plug of one office automation unit to the connector socket of another office automation unit, several office automation units are electrically connected into a desired office automation system.

Abstract: A built-up notebook computer comprised of a unitary upper cover and keyboard unit, a motherboard, a floppy disk drive, a hard disk drive, a rechargeable battery, a power supply unit, a modem and a flat display, wherein the flat display is pivoted to the upper cover and keyboard unit through plug-in joint; the power supply unit and the modem are set in two chambers on the upper cover and keyboard unit; the motherboard, the floppy disk drive, the rechargeable battery and the hard disk drive are respective connected to the upper cover and keyboard unit at the bottom by hook joint and electrically interconnected; the motherboard, the floppy disk drive, the hard disk drive, the power supply unit and the modem are firmly secured together by two screws.

Abstract: A battery and expansion slot changeable computer mainframe structure for lap-top and note book, which includes receiving chambers having battery load circuit and contact end for expansion cards. Therefore, a variety of expansion cards and battery sets can be alternatively set in the receiving chambers to connect to the computer so as to extend power supply duration and strengthen the operational function of the computer.
