  • Patent number: 6716006
Abstract: A telescopic dual movement pump has a nozzle assembly, a central tube connected to the nozzle assembly, a first tube enclosing the central tube and slidable relative to the central tube and a second tube enclosing the first tube and slidable to the first tube. The central tube has a first piston assembly which includes a block slidably received in the first tube. The first tube has an end provided with a second piston assembly which includes a second block slidably received in the second tube. The movement of the block and the second block in two opposite directions is able to force air inside the pump to be ejected out of the pump.

  • Publication number: 20040045606
Abstract: A seal assembly for an air pump having a barrel, a piston slidably received in the barrel has a cylindrical seal adapted to be received in a nozzle of the barrel and having a flat portion and a head provided with a passage adapted to selectively communicate with the nozzle of the barrel and a space in the flat portion and a circular seal sandwiched between a baffle plate and the flat portion of the cylindrical seal. The circular seal has holes selectively communicating with the space of the flat portion of the cylindrical seal and the through hole of the baffle plate and a boss detachably received in the through hole so that when the boss is received in the through hole, communication of the nozzle, the passage, the space and the through is blocked.

  • Publication number: 20030226986
Abstract: A pin has a hollow body, an extension formed with the hollow body and provided with a passage defined to communicate with an interior of the hollow body and a sphere movably received in the hollow body. The hollow body is divided into a chamber to movably receive therein the sphere and a path by a step. The chamber has a diameter larger than that of the path so that the sphere selectively stops communication between the chamber and the path. The chamber has two elongated bosses oppositely formed on a bottom face defining the chamber and being apart from each other by the passage. An activating rod is integrally formed on the sphere and extends out of the path to so as to move the sphere inside the chamber.

  • Patent number: 6485276
Abstract: A dual function air pump has a compressor with an inlet connected to a first port and with a first outlet connected to a second port. The air to the compressor is directed by a first tube from the first port, such that a suction effect exists at the first port. The air pumped out of the compressor is directed to the second port by a second tube, such that an exhaust or blowing effect exists at the second port. A pressure gauge is connected by an auxiliary tube to the second tube. The compressor further has a second outlet connected to a control switch assembly by a third tube.

  • Publication number: 20020081216
Abstract: A control switch assembly for an air pump has a unidirectional valve mounted inside a port that is mounted together with a contact device on an actuation device. The actuation device has an extension slidably received in the actuation device and controllably connected to a knob. With the movement of the extension, a switch inside the contact device is able to selectively make an electrical connection and an actuating pin of the unidirectional valve is able to selectively open an airway inside the port. When the electrical connection of the switch is disconnected and the airway is opened by the movement of the actuating pin, the pressure above a diaphragm and inside the compressor is able to be released from the airway of the port so as to smooth the actuation of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 6017201
Abstract: An air pump is provided with an outer tube, a piston sealingly and slidably movable in the outer tube, an operating rod securely engaged with the piston and slidably received within the outer tube, a plug securely inserted into one end of the outer tube and allowing the operating rod to be slidably extending therethrough and an extension tube extending out from the other end of the outer tube. The operating rod has a channel adapted to slidably receive the extension tube therein. Therefore, when the extension tube is not in use, the extension tube is able to be received within the channel of the operating rod and the extension tube is able to be drawn out from the operating rod when in use to inflate a inflatable product.

  • Patent number: 5702239
Abstract: An air pump with dual air intakes includes a pump body having an enclosed end with a securing point at its inner side for retaining a diaphragm, and an open end connecting to a cover. The cover has a securing point at its inner side for retaining a diaphragm. The cover and the enclosed end are provided with multiple air inlets. The diaphragms may cover the air inlets. The cover has a central hole through which a piston rod passes. A piston is connected to an inner end of the piston rod and is provided with an annular groove with through holes communicating with the piston rod. The annular groove is fitted with an annular gasket. A pump head is connected to a projected end of the piston rod. The pump head is connected to an air outlet and a check valve communicating with the piston rod. When the piston displaces, air is drawn in via the ends of the pump body through the annular gasket and the annular groove into the piston rod via the through holes and is then discharged via the check valve and the air outlet.

  • Patent number: 5476372
Abstract: A manual pump which has a plunger and a cylinder. The cylinder defines a nozzle through a first end and an opening through a second end. A groove is circumferentially defined in an internal surface of the cylinder near the opening. Two slots are defined in a stem. The plunger has a stem and a piston which is formed at the first end of the stem. A knob is formed at the second end of the stem. The piston has first and second disks spaced from each other. A plurality of holes are defined through the first disk of the piston. A sealing ring is mounted between the first and second disks of the piston. An annular limit consists of two semi-annular halves between which the stem is inserted. Each semi-annular half has a semi-annular flange formed thereon in order to be engaged in the groove defined in the cylinder so that the annular limit is attached in the cylinder so as to retain the piston in the cylinder. A tab projects from the underside of each semi-annular half of the annular limit.
