Abstract: An optical memory for storing and/or reading data on an optical disk. The optical disk incorporates a material in which holographic gratings can be created, and subsequently detected, at plural locations within the disk by an electro-optical head. Creation and detection of holographic gratings with variable diffraction efficiency is possible with the electro-optical head. Multiple holographic gratings can also be created at each one of the plural locations via a beam of light which has a different wavelength or point of focus. These data elements can be read by the electro-optical head using a beam of light sequentially varied in wavelength or point of focus to correspond to the multiple holographic gratings to be recorded.

  • Publication number: 20040255386
Abstract: A width-adjustable alternating air inflation mattress has a body. At least one lateral side of the body is added with tubular air cells for increasing the width of the bed body. The inflation of the tubular air cell is controlled by air valves. When the tubular air cells are inflated, the width thereof is increased. By above mentioned alternating air inflation mattress, in normal use, the alternating air inflation mattress has a sufficient wide and thus the patient can lie upon the bed comfortably. If it is desired to pass the alternating air inflation mattress through the door, it only needs to evacuate airs in tubular air cells at two sides of the bed to reduce the width of the bed. Other than the inflation of the tubular air cells being controllable, if the patent needs a first aid, the air in the tubular air cell can be evacuated out rapidly for executing CPR.

  • Patent number: 6570388
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method which introduce a parasitic series resistance for solving electrostatic discharge voltages by using transmission line pulse method and least square error solution method. In present invention, we introduce a parasitic series resistance, Rs, into the equation which presents the correlation between the transmission line pulse method and human body model. The equation is then rewritten as electrostatic discharge voltage=electrostatic discharge current×(the human body equivalent resistance+the parasitic series resistance) We can obtain the optimal parasitic series resistance and electrostatic discharge voltage by using the least square error solution method.

  • Patent number: 6555485
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for forming a gate dielectric layer, and, more particularly, to a method for treating a base oxide layer by using a remote plasma nitridation procedure and a thermal annealing treatment in turn to form the gate dielectric layer. The first step of the present invention is to form a base oxide layer on a substrate of a wafer. The base oxide layer can be formed using any kind of method. Then nitrogen ions are introduced into the base oxide layer using the remote plasma nitridation procedure to form a remote plasma nitrided oxide layer. Finally, the wafer is placed in a reaction chamber which comprises oxygen (O2) or nitric monoxide (NO) to treat the remote plasma nitrided oxide layer using the thermal annealing procedure and the gate dielectric layer of the present invention is formed.
