Abstract: An image processing apparatus having a flat flexible cable with adjusted configuration for obtaining digital image data of an object is provided. The image processing apparatus includes: a casing; a carriage module disposed in the casing and movable relative to the object for picking up and converting image of the object into the digital image data; a flat flexible cable having a first end fixed at a certain location of the casing and a second end coupled to and movable with the carriage module for transmitting the digital image data from the carriage module; and a cable-adjusting device coupled to and movable with the flat flexible cable when the second end of the flat flexible cable moves with the carriage module, and having a length varying with a configuration of the flat flexible cable so as to keep stretching the flat flexible cable.

Abstract: An image scanner having wireless carriage module is provided to overcome the abrasion problem occurred between the flat flexible cable and the transparent scanning platform. The image scanner includes a casing; a carriage module disposed inside the casing for picking up image data of an object to be scanned and converting the image data into digital data; a wireless transmitter incorporated into the carriage module for receiving and modulating the digital data into wireless signals and transmitting the wireless signals out; and a wireless receiver separate from the carriage module and being in communication with a processing system for receiving and demodulating the wireless signals from the wireless transmitter into the digital data and outputting the digital data to the processing system for further processing.

Abstract: A light-guide module is used for guiding the incident light to a process device. The light-guide module comprises an entrance and a plurality of reflected mirrors. The entrance is provided for entering the signal light. The reflected mirrors are arranged as a predetermined light route for guiding out the signal light. One of the reflected mirrors comprises a light shielding structure for preventing the noise reflecting from the reflected mirror so as to prevent the noise light from entering the image sensing device and to prevent the image sensing device to process the noise.

The flat flexible cable is electrically connected between a circuit board and a carriage and bends differentially with the movement of the carriage relative to the circuit board under a scanning platform. The mechanism includes a confining member disposed between a first portion of the flat flexible cable and the scanning platform for isolating the flat flexible cable from the scanning platform. The confining member changes states and bends differentially with the movement of the carriage relative to the circuit board under the scanning platform, and has a bending resistance greater than that of the flat flexible cable. Accordingly, the confining member is kept at least a certain clearance from the scanning platform while confining the first portion of the flat flexible cable thereunder.

In addition, no reflector is installed on the first side of the lens.

By distorting the belt, the tension of the belt is increased.

Abstract: An anti-abrasive flat flexible cable applied to a flatbed scanner is provided to avoid abrasion occurring between the flat flexible cable and a platform of the flatbed scanner. The anti-abrasive flat flexible connected between a circuit board and a carriage of the flatbed scanner bends differentially with the forward or backward movement of the carriage under the platform. It includes a flexible main body connected to the circuit board and the carriage respectively for transmitting electric signals between the circuit board and the carriage; and a weighting object arranged on a portion of the flexible main body, which is possibly to be bent during the movement of the carriage, for pulling the main flexible body away from the platform so as to avoid abrasion.
