  • Patent number: 7252352
Abstract: A printer for receiving image data. The printer has a plurality of address lines, a plurality of bank lines, a plurality of control lines, and a plurality of print modules. Each print module is set corresponding to the address lines and the bank lines, each of the print modules has a plurality of print units, each print unit has a heating element and a switch unit coupled to the control lines for controlling the heating elements. When an address signal and a bank signal are applied by a predetermined address line and a predetermined bank line, and a plurality of control signals is transferred to the control lines, a switch unit is turned on according to the control signals for generating a driving current to activate the heating element of the switch unit.

  • Patent number: 7188924
Abstract: A circuit and a method of estimating pulse frequencies of nozzles in an ink-jet head use a new mechanism of estimating pulse frequencies of nozzles instead of in a conventional counting mechanism. The circuit includes a DRAM, an adder and a method control mechanism. The method control mechanism controls the access method. The DRAM retrieves a plurality of pulse frequency parameters of nozzles after ink-jet cycle signals are received. The adder adds the parameters and weighted values to update pulse frequency parameters. The updated parameters are saved back to the DRAM.

  • Publication number: 20060146086
Abstract: A temperature control apparatus for a printhead, disposed on a printer and controlled by a printhead driver. A printhead temperature detector detects and outputs a printhead temperature. A controller receives the temperature and searches a corresponding temperature-voltage table selected in accordance with a printhead mode signal to acquire a voltage value. A voltage regulator coupled to power and the controller outputs the corresponding voltage according to the voltage value to the printhead to adjust the temperature of the printhead.

  • Publication number: 20060132528
Abstract: A print alignment method comprises detecting a skew direction of the printhead, receiving column data, corresponding to columns of printhead nozzles, dividing column data into N sections, selecting individual N column data, when the skew is to the right, the printhead receives the first section of first column data, the second section of second column data, the third section of third column data and so on; and when the skew direction is to the left, the printhead receives the Nth section of the first column data, the (N-1)th section of the second column data, the (N-2)th section of the third column data, and so on.

  • Publication number: 20050140703
Abstract: Ink jet print head identification circuit and method. A printer includes a controller, a printer carriage installed in the printer, and at least one print head set up in the printer carriage. Each print head is installed in the printer carriage, comprising an identification circuit coupled to the controller through a data line, a clock line and a latch line, wherein the identification circuit comprises a first storing unit, a first logic unit, a second logic unit, a second storing unit, and a bank driving circuit. By installing the first logic unit and the second logic unit, the print head doesn't need to feed back ID information to the controller of a printer, thus decreasing the loading of the controller.
