  • Patent number: 11277878
Abstract: Two devices can be connected for communication by a wireless connection, where those devices will function as master and slave devices with respect to that connection. A slave device to a connection can perform changes to the connection on behalf of an application, subsystem, or other such source on either the slave device or a master device. These changes can include changes to connection parameter values, or can include state changes such as to perform a disconnect action. Enabling the slave device to perform these actions can help to bypass any restrictions that would otherwise prevent these actions being performed from a master device to the connection.

  • Patent number: 9277415
Abstract: A device implements multiple protocols that share overlapping resources. In some cases, a first operation, such as a scan, may have a resource conflict with a second operation associated with a different protocol. In some cases, determining grant normal priority level requests associated with the first operation over those at the normal priority level associated with the second operation may lead to operator-noticeable degradation in device performance. A protocol controller may request a selected portion of the first operation at a low priority level. Requesting the selected portion at the low priority level may allow the second operation to selectively override the portion of the first operation. The selective overriding of the first operation may allow for execution of the first and second operations without operator-noticeable performance degradation.

  • Patent number: 9258671
Abstract: A system and method using ANT and/or ANT+ protocols for one or more ANT and/or ANT+ applications. The system can include a Bluetooth interface and a Host Controller Interface (HCI) that are configured to process incoming and outgoing ANT and/or ANT+ messages from/to one or more ANT and/or ANT+ enabled devices. The ANT and/or ANT+ messages can be communicated to one or more ANT and/or ANT+ enabled devices utilizing a Bluetooth transceiver. The Bluetooth interface and the HCI can be configured to wrap one or more ANT and/or ANT+ messages with a header and/or to remove a header from one or more wrapped ANT and/or ANT+ messages. The header can be an HCI compatible header.
