Patent number: 8314752Abstract: In a method for driving a display device, an address counter is used for generating a plurality of address variables corresponding to data of a scan line. Next, an address mapping circuit generates a first target address by data-mapping an address variable, and generates a second target address by data mapping data stored in an address look-up table memory. Subsequently, a row buffer memory accesses data corresponding to a first scan line based on the first target address, and accesses data corresponding to a second scan line based on the second target address.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2007Date of Patent: November 20, 2012Assignee: NOVATEK Microelectronics Corp.Inventors: Hsiao-Ming Huang, Chun-Lung Wang, Yi-Lin Yeh

Publication number: 20110205793Abstract: A method for accessing a multi-level non-volatile memory cell includes the following steps: determining at least one target word line voltage according to a target bit to be read from a plurality of bits stored in the multi-level non-volatile memory cell; and applying the at least one target word line voltage to the multi-level non-volatile memory cell in order to determine the target bit. Herein the at least one target word line voltage includes at most 2(N-1) word line voltages, where N is a total number of the plurality of bits stored in the multi-level non-volatile memory cell.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 24, 2010Publication date: August 25, 2011Inventor: Hsiao-Ming Huang

Patent number: 7898598Abstract: A method and an apparatus for judging video modes are provided. The method compares the values of the corresponding pixels of two consecutive frames in a video data to obtain a difference value between the two frames and then all of the difference values between any two consecutive frames are collected to form a difference value sequence. The difference value sequence is further amplified by a high pass filter and then compared with a threshold value. The comparison result is provided for successively judging the movie mode of the video data. Since the amplified signal values are suitable for emphasizing the difference of each frame, the provided method is capable of more correctly identifying the movie mode of the original video data, which further eliminates the drawback in the prior art that it is hard to determine the threshold value or to judge the movie mode thereof.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2006Date of Patent: March 1, 2011Assignee: Novetek Microelectronics Corp.Inventors: Tsui-Chin Chen, Hsiao-Ming Huang
