Publication number: 20230270816Abstract: Acute myelogenous leukaemia (AML) often bear a mutation in the NPM1 nucleolar chaperone, but the transforming properties of the NPM1c oncoprotein remain incompletely understood. Here the inventors show that NPM1c binding to PML, a key senescence gene, disrupts PML nuclear bodies (NB) yielding proliferation, mitochondrial alterations and intracellular stress. Actinomycin-D (ActD), an anticancer antibiotic with clinical efficacy in NPM1c-AMLs, targets these dysfunctional mitochondria to induce ROS. The later disrupt disulphide-linked NPM1c/PML complex, restoring PML NBs and initiating senescence. An ActD-responsive patient displayed features of mitochondria-initiated senescence. These studies highlight unexpected mitochondrial involvement both downstream of the NPM1c/PML axis and as a key feature of ActD therapy.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 5, 2021Publication date: August 31, 2023Inventors: Hugues BLAUDIN DE THE, Hsin Chieh WU

Patent number: 11687134Abstract: Cooling devices, such as fans, installed in a computing device can be automatically identified by reading an encoded signal from the cooling device's tachometer signal line. A cooling device can temporarily output an encoded signal in response to a trigger event, such as a power on event (e.g., powering-on of the cooling device). A controller, such as a baseboard management controller (BMC), can receive the encoded signal and decode the signal to determine identification information about the cooling device, such as vendor information and/or model information. The identification information about the cooling device can be stored, logged, output, and/or used to customize the operation of the cooling device.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2020Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: QUANTA COMPUTER INC.Inventors: Yi-Chieh Chen, Yueh-Chang Wu, Yan-Kuei Chen, Hsin-Yu Lin

Publication number: 20230189422Abstract: An extreme ultraviolet (EUV) photolithography system generates EUV light by irradiating droplets with a laser. The system includes a droplet generator with a nozzle and a piezoelectric structure coupled to the nozzle. The generator outputs groups of droplets. A control system applies a voltage waveform to the piezoelectric structure while the nozzle outputs the group of droplets. The waveform causes the droplets of the group to have a spread of velocities that results in the droplets coalescing into a single droplet prior to being irradiated by the laser.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2022Publication date: June 15, 2023Inventors: Yu-Kuang SUN, Cheng-Hao LAI, Yu-Huan CHEN, Wei-Shin CHENG, Ming-Hsun TSAI, Hsin-Feng CHEN, Chiao-Hua CHENG, Cheng-Hsuan WU, Yu-Fa LO, Shang-Chieh CHIEN, Li-Jui CHEN, Heng-Hsin LIU

Publication number: 20230180035Abstract: A network quality measurement method and system are provided. In the method, a movement path and a movement speed of a vehicle device are determined according to a size of a space and an endurance time of the vehicle device, and the vehicle device is controlled to move on the movement path at the movement speed. During a movement of the vehicle device, a network quality in the space is measured according to a measurement frequency to generate network quality data. Whether the network quality in the space is changed is determined according to the network quality data. Whether there is an obstacle around the vehicle device is detected. When it is determined that the network quality in the space is changed or the obstacle is detected around the vehicle device, at least one of the movement path, the movement speed, and the measurement frequency is adjusted.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 26, 2021Publication date: June 8, 2023Applicant: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventors: Hui-Ping Kuo, Sheng-Chieh Huang, Hsin-Hui Hwang, Yi-Ming Wu, Man Ju Chien
