    Abstract: A method for manufacturing an interconnect structure includes: forming a first dielectric layer; forming a mask; patterning the first dielectric layer through the mask to form a trench, an inner surface of the trench having two first portions opposite to each other along an X direction, two second portions opposite to each other along a Y direction, and a bottom portion; forming a second dielectric layer over the mask and the patterned first dielectric layer, and along an inner surface of the trench; etching the second dielectric layer by directing an etchant in a predetermined direction such that a first part of the second dielectric layer on the two first portions and the bottom portion is removed, and a second part of the second dielectric layer on the second portions of the trench remains and is formed into two reinforcing spacers; and forming a trench-filling element.

    Abstract: Acute myelogenous leukaemia (AML) often bear a mutation in the NPM1 nucleolar chaperone, but the transforming properties of the NPM1c oncoprotein remain incompletely understood. Here the inventors show that NPM1c binding to PML, a key senescence gene, disrupts PML nuclear bodies (NB) yielding proliferation, mitochondrial alterations and intracellular stress. Actinomycin-D (ActD), an anticancer antibiotic with clinical efficacy in NPM1c-AMLs, targets these dysfunctional mitochondria to induce ROS. The later disrupt disulphide-linked NPM1c/PML complex, restoring PML NBs and initiating senescence. An ActD-responsive patient displayed features of mitochondria-initiated senescence. These studies highlight unexpected mitochondrial involvement both downstream of the NPM1c/PML axis and as a key feature of ActD therapy.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides a vaccine adjuvant, including a polysaccharide derived from Antrodia camphorata (also named Antrodia cinnamomea or Taiwanofungus camphoratus) fruiting body, wherein the molecular weight of the polysaccharide is greater than 100 K Da. Furthermore, the polysaccharide is obtained by an extraction process, and the extraction process includes: (a) adding powder of the Antrodia camphorata fruiting body into water to form a mixture; (b) heating the mixture under reflux; (c) after step (b), removing an insoluble matter from the mixture; (d) after step (c), adding ethanol into the mixture to perform a precipitating step and obtain a precipitate; and (e) performing an isolating step to the precipitate to obtain a fraction the molecular weight of which is greater than 100 K Da of the precipitate.
