    Abstract: A switching device for an electric tool includes: an output shaft unit disposed in an outer casing, having an output shaft, a movable ratchet wheel mounted such that the movable ratchet wheel is movable axially along the output shaft and is non-rotatable therewith; a fixed ratchet unit having a fixed ratchet wheel sleeved around the output shaft and having ratchet teeth for meshing with ratchet teeth of the movable ratchet wheel; and a function switch unit having a switch ring mounted rotatably on the casing. Rotation of the switch ring about its axis results in rotation of pawls within the switch ring, thereby driving the pawls about its pivot points and meshing and/or non-meshing of the pawls with external ratchet teeth of the fixed ratchet wheel, thereby switching the output shaft among a continuous rotation, rotation in a single direction and simultaneously providing an axial impact during the rotation.

The output unit includes an output shaft with a first bearing and a movable ratchet gear which have movable ratchet teeth facing stationary ratchet teeth of a stationary ratchet gear. The stationary ratchet gear includes ribs and each rib has an inclined surface. When the pawls are not engaged with the ribs, the output shaft can outputs power in a form of rotation in both directions. When the pawls are engaged with the ribs, the output shaft outputs power in a form of rotation in a forward direction combined with vibration or rotation in a reverse direction without vibration.

    Abstract: A transmission mechanism includes a first gear unit having an axially-movable ring gear and a second gear unit having an axially-movable fixing ring. The fixing ring includes first and second protrusions on two sides, respectively. When the ring gear moves, the first inner teeth and the outer teeth of the second planet gear disk are engaged with each other or disengaged from each other. When the fixing ring moves, the first protrusions and the first positioning ridges are engaged with each other or disengaged from each other, or the second protrusions and the second positioning ridges are engaged with each other or disengaged from each other. By the different combinations of the statuses due to movement of the ring gear and the fixing ring, the input speed from the motor gear is transferred into four different speeds which is output from an output shaft.

    Abstract: A non-vibration output device in reverse rotation includes a movable ratchet gear, a stationary ratchet gear having ribs and a locking member having pawls. Each rib has an inclined surface. The locking member is move to control the engagement or disengagement between the pawls and the ribs. When the pawls are not engaged with the ribs, the stationary ratchet gear is rotatable. The output shaft can rotate in two directions. When the pawls are engaged with the ribs, the stationary ratchet gear is fixed. The movable ratchet gear rotates in the forward direction and interference happens between the movable ratchet gear and the stationary ratchet gear to generate axial vibration. When the movable ratchet gear rotates in the reverse direction, the stationary ratchet gear is disengaged from the movable ratchet gear so that no axial vibration is generated.
